Extras: Once again, the discs had their own unique extras, the first one with a lengthy 34:40 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by the talented Tony Flush; the man interviewing the ladies as they got ready for their scenes but also catching them in various states of undress or getting ready. There were three trailers, a popshot recap, a photogallery, websites, and a cast list too. The second disc had similar extras, including another long BTS lasting 26:32 minutes, all the other extras, as well as three more trailers.

Audio/Video Quality: Oil Overload 5 was presented in an appealingly clear 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Chris Streams for Jules Jordan Videoas presented in the MPEG-2 format. While I wish that someday the series will provide high definition versions of the action (this being one of the few that can handle the added resolution thanks to the way Chris shoots it), it actually looked pretty solid except for the degree of color saturation appearing in several of the scenes. The lighting was decent, generally limiting the grain and other visual flaws in the open settings of the house, no scenes going far outside the box in terms of centering on dark rooms this time (though the light pouring into the rooms from the bright windows was, at times, on the heavy side). There were no compression artifacts (the bitrate hovering in the 5.1 Mbps range most of the time I paid any attention to it) but the fleshtones were well handled and added to the enjoyment in every scene. There was a company watermark in the lower right hand corner for those that care, my preference being that they aren’t in view but understanding the fight against piracy impacting this aspect of many productions. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) was a bit basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure. The music dominated during the tease sequences and fans may find this a marked change for the director from most of his works to date.

Body of Review: Chris Streams might not get a lot of accolades and good press about the quality work he makes at Jules Jordan Video but in terms of gonzo production, his movies compare favorably to almost everyone in the industry. His latest to make it my way last week is a title called Oil Overload 5: Special Edition, the series one of my favorite in terms of tease, oiled up hotties, and heated sexual trysts. The cast includes babes such as gorgeous Jynx Maze, popular Amy Ried, busty Priya Rai, Jada Stevens, Nikki Monroe, and Bridgette B., all of them looking perfect for their roles at having “messy hot oil sex” as the cover put it. As the series has long offered up tons of oiled up fuck for the buck, seeing the running time of almost 4.5 hours on the cover made me want this one a whole lot, Chris excelling in the gonzo genre for years to make it this far. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

I have long been a fan of oiled up tease and action, this volume providing a lot of diversity in terms of casting ladies like Latina Jynx Maze, exotic Priya Rai, redhead Jada Stevens and Amy Ried, and blondes such as Bridgette B. and Nikki Monroe. In short then, Oil Overload 5: Special Edition was full of the fun factor that makes the director’s movies so appreciated, his free style of offering a well rounded set of aspects in a porno often substantially better than many of his peers, my wish that the volumes came out more frequently balanced against my need to recover. Give this one a look if you’re into oil, gonzo, and sexy looking women of all body shapes, Chris again showing the world why he earns my support over and over again.
