Extras: The best extra for most of you will be the bonus scene from Time After Time between Julia Ann and Tommy Gunn that lasted 7:52 minutes. It wasn’t very long but it added some value for those of you that don’t already have the movie so I described it below. My personal favorite was the 23:15 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Mark Stone (and edited by Jef) as it gave a better look at what they cast & crew were trying to do. There was some nudity and clips of action from the sex scenes; the cast having a lot of fun on the set (such as Evan giving the director some underwear to punk him out with). There were seven photogalleries, four star stats, a promo reel, the usual DVD Rom material, and 10 trailers to movies like Coming Home, Operation Desert Stormy, Perfect Match, The Craving, Made in the USA, Becoming Carmen Hart, The Visitors, Supernatural, Black Widow, Melt, and Love Always. There was also a true double sided DVD cover and a cardboard slipcase for the case.

Audio/Video Quality: Julia Ann RefleXXXions was presented in an appealing 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Francois Clousot for Wicked Pictures. While filmed in high definition, it was down converted to a regular DVD (in the future, the HD version should look even better), so there was some minor grain in some of the scenes where lighting was minimized as part of the scene (night scenes tend to do that). The artistic measures taken to make the movie’s vignettes look interesting did manage to weaken the overall effect for me; a simple comparison to the BTS footage will show you the lengths the movie was processed to achieve this negative effect too. The video noise was minimal and the composition of the scenes was extremely well taken care of, enhancing the look of the ladies in nearly all cases but there was aliasing for those of you wanting better video to showcase your home theatres. There were no obvious compression artifacts and the bitrate was typically in the mid to upper 6 Mbps range. The audio was presented with two choices, the primary one being a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English track that balanced the vocals and music nicely. There was no 2.0 Dolby Digital track in Spanish available as advertised on the DVD case but given the lack of quality they tend to have, it was no big loss for me. Otherwise, the audio seemed to be another step in the right direction for Wicked Pictures, even though the vocals were almost certainly recorded in monaural or dubbed in later (not to mention limited in scope). Still, the music was well done (I liked the romantic chanting piece in the first scene especially) and the overall quality of the audio was slightly better than average as well (well better in a few scenes and dialogue portions).

Body of Review: Julia Ann has long been an icon in the adult entertainment industry thanks in no small part to her good looks, heated performances, and curvy body that drives both men and women wild. In recent times, she has been scaling back her projects and trying her hand at doing make up on set so she can exit gracefully from performing so it is no wonder that her latest movie by director Francois Clousot for Wicked Pictures used a lot of artistic effects. The showcase title for the performer is called Julia Ann RefleXXXions and fans of the gal will undoubtedly need no introduction to the kind of sex she had given her recent, no-holes-barred work. The movie is a series of six unrelated vignettes that use a mirror as a focal point, Francois attempting something visually different in each of the scenes. The back cover said it like this: “She's embraced by inescapable desires. Enveloped by mirror images of previous fantasies, her deviance emerges. A labyrinth of daydreams and illusions fueled by her needs, the journey of decadence begins with her.” If that sounds appealing to you, here is a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were worn in any scene that a man was in:

Scene One: Julia Ann, the hotty on the front cover, was up first as a mobster’s gun moll of sorts, the stylized appearance of the setting from long ago with Randy Spears. They moved to the bed where he went down on her, Julia responding to his touch nicely enough with the light jazzy score dominating the audio most of the time. She gave him a short blowjob and he was porking her in doggy moments later. They began with vaginal and moved to a slow anal where she was mostly passive, Julia rubbing her clitoris as she moaned loudly at her perfect pucker being pounded by Randy; who rubbed out his load of population pudding all too soon on her foot.

Scene Two: Delilah Strong, a curvy gal with a pretty face, was up next with black stud Tyler Knight in the living room, the couple kissing before giving each other some oral pleasure. Her dirty talk was decent and while I prefer all natural breasts, her new implants looked fitting with her curvy body this time. The scene ended when he busted a nut in her mouth and she gave him some post coital sucking. In all then, it was short and sweet; far from her best work but still quite strokable.

Scene Three: Lexi Belle, wearing a Victorian era outfit and wig, was joined by similarly dressed Steven St. Croix and Eric Masterson on a park bench as a minuet played in the background. They largely kept on their restrictive clothing as the men took turns going down on her or her blowing them, the pacing seeming slower than usual as they savored the moment. There did not appear to be a lot of chemistry this time but given the constrictions of the setting, it was a change to pace to say the least. In her favor, she completely carried the scene and proved to be an active vaginal rider whereas her milky white skin was too stylishly lit to look its best. The scene ended when she took one load to her face and the other to her crotch, the mirror gimmick following through to the next scenes as well.

Scene Four: Julia Ann, in a more modernistic setting of a big city sex show trapped in a Plexiglas cage with many glory holes, was up next as she blew the mighty Evan Stone, Chris Cannon, Marcus London, and Eric Masterson one at a time; jerking the others off as able. The upbeat tempo of the music was okay to listen to but the black & white photography combined with the heaps of stylish grain took away from the scene for me. The extremely heavy edited did the show no favors either as it was nearly unwatchable on my big screen television (even looking at it on my computer for screen caps was a bit problematic). Still, Julia proved yet again that she is a world class cocksucker and no stranger to a cock in her mouth, milking their loads into her mouth as best the cage would allow her to do.

Scene Five: Abbey Brooks, Fayth Deluca, and Riley Evans, were up next as they engaged in a lesbian tryst on a couch; initially wearing golden masks to hide their identities. This smaller version of a group grope was visually appealing, the ladies using fingers, tongues, and vibrators to get each other off; albeit in a porn performance sort of way. Fans of lesbian action will probably like this one the most though, some anal action taking place with the toys early on.

Scene Six: Julia Ann, applying lipstick in the mirror at a punk rock concert, was joined by freakish Justice Young on a mattress in no time. She kept her slutty attire on the entire time, getting eaten and blowing him for a short period of time to instill a sense of urgency in the scene; partially succeeding as a result of the technical matters and direction. The only thing out of place this time was some of the grunting taking place both before and after the vaginal screwing. Julia was not particularly active this time but I think the look of the cougar seducing the rocker worked for some reason, his load of semen going to her face all too soon before they rolled over onto the bed to crash.

Bonus Scene: Time After Time: Julia Ann, without any build up at all, was then up slobbing the knob of muscular Tommy Gunn in bed. For a feature, it stuck me as odd that there would be so much diving into sex without any tease or build up but I played along as Julia’s lips wrapped around a cock is always a sight for sore eyes. Tommy gave her some loving too but they did not seem to have as much connecting them as she did with Randy in the first scene so it dragged on (even though too short in length again). They did very little vaginal sex in the missionary position before he came on her lower abdomen; making it look like she abstained for a few weeks given how plentiful his orgasm was.

Summary: Julia Ann RefleXXXions by director Francois Clousot for Wicked Pictures was not my preferred style to highlight such an award winning hotty as Julia Ann but there was enough replay and stroke value that I gave it a rating of Recommended all the same. Unlike recent efforts by the company that were far too short in length, this one at least provided some diversity I could sink my dick into, with the emphasis on Julia herself enough to win me over. In short, Julia Ann RefleXXXions should have been better and offered better extras along with a longer running time but I did find plenty to appreciate all the same so check it out if you’re at all interested in seeing why so many folks adore this lady.
