Audio/Video Quality: Buttman's Beautiful Brazilian Ass Blu-ray was presented in an amazingly clear 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as shot by director John Stagliano for Evil Angel as presented in the AVC format so common to high definition titles, using 1080i resolution. As I awaited seeing this high definition version, I noted that the movie already looked "good" but the upgrade made it look almost lifelike by comparison illuminating how high definition enhances a movie such as this (quality titles need not focus solely on raw energy as John's previous works have done, proving that technical clarity is also possible; perhaps making it a wakeup call to the other directors at the company). The lighting was good, limiting the grain and other visual flaws in the open settings, showing some nice detail even on the SD version but this was a substantial upgrade. The composition of the shots was largely enhancing to the ladies though as they teased or took on their partners, some minor polishing up needed but providing an excellent first attempt at high definition porn by the acknowledged king of gonzo. There were no compression artifacts (the bitrate hovering in the upper 18.3 Mbps range most of the time I paid attention to it), but it was all over the place numerically but the fleshtones were all I expected them to be, making this one visually packed with substantial amounts of information to perk up my interest. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) was a bit more basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure.

Body of Review: John Stagliano sets the stage for all the directors he distributes at Evil Angel but I haven't seen a new movie by the guy since Fashionistas Safado: Berlin so I can see why some of his flock falter at times. Still, there is no denying that despite some technical issues and an over reliance on full frame production in a time when anamorphic widescreen has all but taken over quality productions, the kind of raw enthusiasm and energy coming out of the company are often nothing short of amazing, making me wish for the day when Buttman pushes his people to join the modern age. Well, as if in answer to my pleas, I picked up the mail this week to find not only a high end looking porno from the company but the first in about two years from the master himself, a title called Buttman's Beautiful Brazilian Ass Blu-ray. Sort of picking off where Ass Fetish left off, John flew down to Brazil yet again to showcase a myriad of fleshy foxes with big booties, this time in an anamorphic widescreen version as well, that one reviewed last week if you care to look. The movie still serving to provide hours of quality entertainment with as much tease as even a guy like me can appreciate.

The company website said it like this: "The 3 hour Buttman movie was shot earlier this year in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo. Stagliano took full advantage of his location by shooting extended portions of the tease segments outdoors. The complete cast features Bella, Monica Santhiago and Talita Brandao', all possessing a raw Brazilian sensuality and big round 'bundas' that Buttman fans crave. Stagliano commented, "There are many shots here that I looked at in editing and thought, 'I'm really glad I shot this in Hi-Def, this is beautiful'. Brazilian women always surprise me with their intense sexuality, and how much they love to tease." General Manager Christian Mann stated, "It's fitting that Evil Angel's first-ever Blu-Ray release comes from the director and the series that started it all. Buttman always tops the DVD sales charts, so we expect the same for both the Standard-Def and Blu-Ray/Hi-Def DVD." Company publicist Tricia Devereaux expressed that while the technical quality of the DVD and Blu-Ray were a priority during post-production, fans won't be disappointed by the tease segments or the hard, hot sex. "I'm a tech geek, and I'm a huge fan of porn with really hot sex. This brings together two things I love. I still remember the day I saw a Buttman movie for the first time - it was Ruby in Buttman's Bend Over Babes 4. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene Two: Bella, the attractive brunette seen featured on the upper right hand corner of the cover, was up next wearing street clothing as John hit on her but changing into very sexy zebra striped pants and a mesh type top when they got back to the house. Monica seemed to be happier blowing him but did manage to give up her ass a little, putting an end to the scene as she blew him to completion (launching his population pudding into her mouth.

Summary: Buttman's Beautiful Brazilian Ass Blu-ray by director John Stagliano for Evil Angel was a nice looking gonzo movie, this high definition version almost certain to look even more lifelike on properly equipped television sets than the last version did. There were only three scenes but each gal was selected for her curvy ass and good attitude, making this easily worth a Recommended rating as far as I was concerned for replay value, strokability, and better technical aspects. In short, Buttman's Beautiful Brazilian Ass Blu-ray was a solid return to the genre that many consider was founded by the director years ago, I just wished he had offered it up in a double disc fashion with better extras so check it out and learn why so many claim that Buttman is the king of gonzo tease footage. The high definition version might not have fully utilized the clarity of the format but it did manage to serve as a solid upgrade here for those of us with the proper equipment to appreciate it too, future endeavors will likely be even better given my contacts in the industry.
