The Movie:

Directed by the late, great Henri Pachard, Nasty Girls, a shot on film feature from 1983, starts off with a woman named Joan (Sharon Kane) agreeing to shave her snatch for her boyfriend, Al (R. Bolla). We get a good look at Ms. Kane getting rid of the hair down there (while some conga drums pummel us on the soundtrack) and once she's nice and bald, Al bends her over and shows her who the boss is by fucking her from behind. He pounds away and then she sucks his cock in the shower stall for a few. Once they're both good and ready he finishes this strong opening scene by shooting a load all across Kane's lovely set of tits. Al's a complete asshole, however, as once he's had his way with her he tells her that he's leaving her for his boss' niece. You see, she's inherited the company that employs him and he figures this is a great opportunity for him. Joan isn't nearly as stoked, and decides to go out and find someone new. And so she does - our plot, such as it is, is now established and Sharon Kane is given plenty of motivation to suck and fuck her way through early eighties New York.

Joan works as a waitress at a joint called Eve's Bar, and over the course of an evening, things can apparently get pretty intense. But let's get away from Joan's problems for a few minute and peak in on a threesome of hot ladies getting ready for a night on the town. Can you guess where they're heading? Of course, Eve's Bar. One of the girls, Leslie (Kelly Nichols), tells her friends that she's made it with 159 guys and tonight is the night she makes it to 160. Before she even leaves, she finds a guy named Marty (Alan Adrian) and drags him into the bedroom where she sits on his face and grinds down on his tongue before heading south and riding him cowgirl style. She talks dirty to him and looks good in some red lingerie. He plays with her tits and then gets on her back so he can spread her wide and chow down. She encourages him to jerk off for her and he obliges, and she rubs his spunk up and down his chest. He wants to fuck her, telling her he can go all night, but she wants to get back to the action. Sorry Marty!

She and Marty head back to Eve's where the rest of the girls are waiting. Her friend, Annie (Joanna Storm), hooks up with a guy named, appropriately enough, Lucky and they take their turn to go back to the apartment. She strips for him and he plays with her tits she goes down on him, her blonde locks covering her shoulders nicely. She rides him cowgirl style and starts getting more into things, screaming and getting more aggressive with him. He finishes by pulling out of her and stroking off. Annie hasn't come, but he tells her that was her responsibility and not his. They too head back to the bar afterwards.

Up next is a scene where a married man name Chet decides to get some on the side by getting a floozy named Trudy (Barbara Daniels) loaded. The bartender cuts her off and they head back to his hotel room. She downs some booze right out of the bottle after she blows him. He teases her with more and different kinds of booze as she deep throats him right down to the short and curlies, and after a few more swigs he tells her he wants to fuck her up the ass. She strips down to her black lingerie and gets down on all fours and spreads for him so that he can do just that. Just as she starts getting into it he spunks and she passes out. Not the happiest of scenes in this or many other porno movies, in fact, it's pretty sleazy, but it works in the context of character development, something most modern porno movies can't be bothered with.

But what about Al and Jean? Al and his fiancé (Sharon Mitchell) show up at Eve's where she heads almost straight into the bathroom to suck cock! Sharon blows the guy she's just met, Bud (played by Michael Bruce), and he wastes no time jazzing into Ms. Mitchell's pretty mouth and down her neck. She cleans up and heads back outside. Sandy (Tiffany Clark) and Leslie decide a threesome is a good way to finish up a night on the town and so they recruit Lucky to come back to their place with them. He takes his pants down and they blow him before a heavy make out session occurs. Sandy busts out a strap-on and Leslie rides it for a few but the scene isn't very long. The girls suck Lucky to a finish. A barfly who has been drifting in and out of various conversations all night (Fred J. Lincoln of Last House On The Left fame) hooks up with a pretty Asian girl (not credited) and they leave, but then the waitress tell us that the bar is closing and the movie basically just ends.

Loose ends aren't tied up at all, and the story has no real point to it at all, but Pachard's film has enough steamy build up that it's not a waste. The finale is a bit of a letdown, though the girl on girl action makes up for the lack of much male participation, and the whole thing is nicely shot with a serious and obvious emphasis put on oral sex. The anal scene is a bit twisted and maybe too dark for those who want pure fantasy out of a film like this, but each and every one of the ladies in the film is a natural beauty and that'll definitely help keep your attention.

The Video:

Nasty Girls is presented in a fullframe transfer, which appears to present the film in its original aspect ratio. It looks a bit washed out but is otherwise not bad, though some of the darker scenes and night time scenes get muddy. The picture, like all of VCX's transfers, is interlaced but print damage, dirt and debris are never overly problematic despite some instances of heavy grain. This looks like it was shot sometime in the eighties, this isn't a bad presentation at all. There are some really minor instances of macroblocking if you put this under a microscope and look for defects but if you're not watching for such digital anomalies, you probably won't even notice them.

The Audio:

The Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound soundtrack is a little muffled and not of the best quality, but again, it's taken from an older source so the limitations of the era's technology are going to be there when that's the case. Dialogue is pretty easy to understand, however, and the background music comes through reasonably clear. There aren't a lot of sound effects used in the film, mostly just some random moaning and groaning during the action scenes and these are handled just fine, as are the talkier bits of the movie. There's very little surround activity here, it's a front heavy mix that doesn't sound too far off from an old Mono track, but 5.1 is what it says on the packaging, on the receiver, and on PowerDVD so 5.1 it is.

The Extras:

Aside from some tacky animated menus, VCX has included four bonus scenes - a clip from Eruption, a clip from Personal Services, a clip from Bad Girls II and finally a clip from Suzy Superstar. Rounding out the extras are trailers for Shared With Strangers, Vista Valley PTA, Visions Of Clair, and Swedish Sorority Girls , and the Legendary Tribute montage of vintage adult movie clips, a still gallery that looks to be made up of screen caps from the DVD, and some animated menus.

Overall:

Nasty Girls isn't Pachard's best picture but it's not bad either. A good cast saves this one and makes it worth checking out even if the ending, which should save the best for last, doesn't really add up to very much. VCX's disc recycles the same generic extras we've see on plenty of their other recent releases but the transfer is decent enough and the audio is fine. Recommended for fans of classic adult cinema, a good rental for the rest.
