Audio/Video Quality: Marcia’s Twat A XXX Brady Parody and Other XXX Parodies was presented using 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Jim Powers for JM Productions to be released in MPEG-2 standard definition. The lighting was flat and even in most cases, reducing the grain, video noise, and other visual issues to a minimum, the video bitrate tending to hover around the 5.6 Mbps bitrate when spot checked. The scenes did suffer in that they appeared to be shot using a single camera with limited editing but overall the composition and other visual elements showed Jim’s experience in a favorable way. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 48 kHz sampling rate and 224 Kbps aural bitrate, a variety of sound effects, ambient noise, and clear vocals making it sound pleasingly accurate. Some of the parody score, such as the opening theme song and the song for the third scene were quirky but clever too, perhaps an early nod for best song not out of line at all.

Body of Review: Jim Powers has a reputation in porn for several things, not least of which is his jokester image where he combines humor with his porn. As a result, his often outlandish work for JM Productions can be both a bit gross and a lot funny depending on which side of the fence you tend to sit, some of his works admittedly rougher than others (but always catering to their target audience more than some distributors might care to admit). His latest movie is called Marcia’s Twat A XXX Brady Parody and Other XXX Parodies, a selection of four parody scenes allowing the director to get a few pot shots in before the pop shots take place, this time spoofing two television shows and two movies. While the overall impact of the show left me hanging as often as not, it did showcase why Jim Powers has long been an inspiration to hardcore smut lovers everywhere, how many of his peers see fit to start off a movie with an incest theme? Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that a condom was used in one scene for those still interested:

Kate Frost and Dyna-Mite with Little Romeo

Scene One: Marcia’s Twat: Jessie Andrews, the cute blond featured on the front cover, started things off in a portrayal of the Marcia Brady character from the popular situation comedy of years ago, boning her stepfather Jack “Mr. Brady” Lawrence in her psychedelic bedroom. Granted, they were related by marriage only but frankly, except for the common belief that the actor playing the role of the dad was gay, most guys would have been all over Marcia when she turned 18 if the wife was not around. So, in this parody, Jessie played the slutty teenager coming on to her mom’s husband, her neon colored clothing not lasting nearly as long as Jack’s silly hairpiece; both of them acting in a campy manner. Scene Two: This Isn’t Drop Dead Fred: Regan Starr, another blond but with bigger tits, was up next as she acted out the Phoebe Cates role from a movie few ever saw regarding an imaginary playmate (played by Michael J. Scene Four: The Shining XXX: Kate Frost, Dyna-Mite, Rick Masters, and Little Romeo, were up last in a very brief parody involving some twins using the Kubrick movie as the basis of the skit. Summary: Marcia’s Twat A XXX Brady Parody and Other XXX Parodies by director Jim Powers for JM Productions was cute at times and might appeal to diehard fans of the cast or parodies in general but neither the sexual nor feature elements were given enough room to entertain like the better efforts on the market, the strength of a few of them meriting a respectable rating of Rent It all the same. Jessie Andrews and Lizz Tayler were the cutest of the batch, the writing and acting such that even a pornified parody meter might show a lack of true enthusiasm for the genre. In short, Marcia’s Twat A XXX Brady Parody and Other XXX Parodies offered limited fuck for the buck with cheap extras and a running time indicative of a contract company so check it out as a rental before spending your hard earned money, Jim making some amusing pot shots here but failing to follow through like he does in his better releases.
