Extra's: The best extra for most of you will be the truncated bonus scene from Bad Girls between Jessica Drake, Chris Cannon, Herschel Savage, and Eric Masterson that lasted only 4:09 minutes. It wasn't very long but it added some value for those of you that don't already have the movie so I described it below. My personal favorite was the 20:06 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Jax as it gave a better look at what they cast & crew were trying to do. There was some nudity and clips of action from the sex scenes; the cast having a lot of fun on the set (such as Brad describing some of what was going on). There were eight photogalleries, a 4:38 minute long Boxcover Shoot, four star stats, a promo reel, the usual DVD Rom material, and 9 trailers to movies like Manhunters, Love Always, Taken, House Sitter, Kaylani Unleashed, and Mobster's Ball. There was also a true double sided DVD cover and a cardboard slipcase for the case.

Audio/Video Quality: Tasty was presented in an appealing 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Brad Armstrong for Wicked Pictures. While filmed in high definition, it was down converted to a regular DVD so there was some minor grain in some of the scenes where lighting was minimized as part of the scene (darker scenes tend to do that). The video noise was minimal and the composition of the scenes was extremely well taken care of, enhancing the look of the ladies in nearly all cases but there was aliasing for those of you wanting better video to showcase your home theatres (but the editing by Eddie Door was really good). There were no obvious compression artifacts and the bitrate was typically in the mid to upper 4 Mbps range. The audio was presented with two choices, the primary one being a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English track that balanced the vocals and music nicely. There was also a 2.0 Dolby Digital track in Spanish available as advertised on the DVD case but I have yet to hear from anyone that likes the problematic dubs so listen a bit if you want some laughs. Otherwise, the audio seemed to be another step in the right direction for Wicked Pictures, even though the vocals were almost certainly recorded in monaural or dubbed in later (not to mention limited in scope). Still, the music was well done and the overall quality of the audio was better than average as well (much better in a few scenes).

Body of Review: To say that I'm a fan of director Brad Armstrong at Wicked Pictures would be an accurate assessment since he seems to be the only one at the company to routinely, and consistently, churn out hit features. Given that porn is shot in mere days on a shoe string budget, talent certainly accounts for making the most with what you have. In Brad's case, his blockbuster titles are the ones most bandied about but his smaller efforts tend to show considerable quality too. His latest release is Tasty, a spotlight showcase of lovely Jessica Drake and others that engage in vignettes focusing on the sense of taste. I prefer Brad's features more than his stylish attempts at erotica but something told me that this one might be special so I picked up a copy, the back cover saying this about the movie: "Out of all five senses, taste is surely the most arousing....after all, we use our mouths to kiss, to suck, to lick....to taste. Join Jessica Drake as she savors all kinds of flavors-from sticky sweet cotton candy with Kirsten Price, to a backyard BBQ cook off, to a veritable feast of flesh at a dinner party where everyone leaves satisfied. Hungry? Then bring your appetite...because these girls don't just have good taste, they're tasty!" Having my doubts about the movie based strictly on the marketing hype on the box, I found it was actually a sweet little title to share with a loved one, fueling the fires but not overloading them as most gonzo efforts would do. If this sounds good to you, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used in all scenes having men in them:

Scene One: Jessica Drake, the lean cutie on the front cover, her contract pal Kirsten Price, and Eric Masterson, were up first in a scene centering on the exploits of pastry chefs. The tempo of the music was upbeat and the voice over by Jessica did not detract from the action like it did in Bad Girls. The tease by the gals at the beginning allowed them some latitude in their skimpy attire, the ladies sharing Eric's cock orally once the sexual contact kicked in. There was a fair amount of vaginal play here; both oral contact and the usual positions for screwing with each gal participating nicely. Jessica was the more active of the two and seemed to do the most PTM but they shared the facial pop at the end like good friends with a kiss.

Scene Two: Kylie Wilde, a sexy little blond in tight plaid shorts and a blue crop top, was up next in a backyard cook off scene with Randy Spears and Chris Cannon. Randy used his old school charcoal grill while Chris' gas grill was shiny and new; Kylie only interested in one kind of meat that day. She began by slobbing the knob of Randy while on her knees, hungrily rushing over to give Chris a messy hummer too. She then took turns riding them vaginally while inhaling the other; showing plenty of enthusiasm in the process of getting off. The scene ended when their population pudding graced her face, the men rubbing out loads and getting some post coital sucking.

Scene Three: Jessica Drake, wearing an impossibly short skirt, and busty Austin Kincaid, were up next in an ice cream related vignette that looked like something out of the psychedelic 60's. Barrett Blade was the guy pedaling his ice cream cart, offering the ladies some treats before the trio looked for something a bit more mature to satisfy their taste buds. Austin sucked him off first and seemed moderately reluctant to share but both gals went to work on his pipe before a couple of vaginal penetration positions. There was a bit of chemistry shared by the trio and that helped give it some added replay value, though I'll be up front and let you know that neither gal seemed overly active this time when it came to screwing. The ending facial was such that much of it went over the heads of the ladies, but at least they kissed at the close of the scene.

Scene Four: Cassandra Cruz, a sultry Latina wearing a shirt that said "sexy girl" and a white skirt that did little to hide her muff, was up next as she assisted pizza cook Marco Banderas in the Italian kitchen. It didn't take long for her clothing to be removed, her red thong covering her runway strip pubic hair. Marco liked what he saw (doesn't he always?) and she spent much of the time teasing him before giving him head. The way she wrapped her lips around his shaft spoke volumes about her skill level and the slow manner in which she began was quickly replaced by her increasing tempo that suited him just fine by the look on his face. There were not many positions of vaginal sex here and the floor served as their staging area until he busted a nut on a piece of pizza for her to eat.

Scene Five: Jessica Drake and Kirsten Price, wearing stripper type clothing that looked good on them (great on Jessica), were up next in a cotton candy setting as they ate the spun sugar while bouncing around and shaking their money makers. The sex was fairly standard lesbian fare this time, the gals licking, fingering, and savoring each other before applying some toys. Both ladies did a technical DP using two vibrators, the rapid tempo of the loud music too much for my taste toward the end but the scene a visual treat all the same.

Scene Six: August, Nautica Thorn, Jessica Drake, Brad Armstrong, and Eric Masterson, were up last for a dinner party turned food orgy where Jessica was the servant and the others wanted to sample her goodies as much as all the other treats on the buffet. As on the cover and in other scenes, Jessica wore her company necklace while all her other clothing flew off as she went between the two groups of guests. This was another missed opportunity for those who appreciate the skills of the players (each having done substantially harder forms of sex) but enough to whet the appetite of those of you that aren't overly jaded. The cunnilingus led to blowjobs that led to some minor vaginal penetration. It was tame in most ways but still strokable (and I really liked the ending credit music).

Bonus Scene: Bad Girls: "Jessica Drake, the strawberry blond on the front cover, was up next in business attire as she road the elevator with Chris Cannon, Herschel Savage, and Eric Masterson. She was portraying a great pickpocket as well as a striptease artist, the men catching her in the act. This led to them stripping off her clothing and getting blowjobs, Jessica's talents always strong in the field as she knelt before them. Using her hands and mouth in unison, Jessica inhaled cock really well during this blowbang, taking their loads as easily as their precious valuables before it was all over. I would have liked to see a lot more action from her but she was also busy assisting the director on the set (credited at "JD")."

Summary: Tasty by director Brad Armstrong for Wicked Pictures had a splendid cast, enough warmth and chemistry for my tastes, and is the kind of vignette driven movie that will appeal to couples enough to merit a rating of Recommended. It had some thematic rough edges at times but the stylish nature of the presentation was nicely done in most cases and as long as you aren't expecting a movie to compete with the latest gonzo offering, you should find it appealing on multiple levels. In short, Tasty might not make a fell course meal but it definitely served enough calories to make it as a desert.
