Synopsis

Teachers continues director Robby D.'s "vocation" series that began with Babysitters and also includes Cheerleaders and Nurses. The movie includes a total of eight sex scenes, spread across two DVDs, that contain boy/girl and boy/girl/girl sex as well as an eight-person orgy.

The movie unfolds at Fillmore Bush High School (cute name, huh?) where a clique of four girls (Digital Playground contact stars Jesse Jane, Riley Steele, Angelina Armani, and Stoya) get into deep trouble when Riley leaves their super-secret "sex diary" on the school bus. This diary explicitly details the exploits of the four girls as they suck and fuck themselves through school (no homework required for these brazen beauties!). The diary is found by the bus driver who, according to protocol, gives it to receptionist Lisa Ann. Lisa's character is a snoop. So, she just has to read a bit of the diary and, in doing so, gets so fuckin' horny that she simply attacks the next male she sees...a student played by Scott Nails.

The story then follows the scandalous memoir as it passes from teacher to teacher on its journey to its ultimate destination, Dean Ben English. Along the way, teachers read of the girls' exploits and either daydream about the sex the girls experience or take matters into their own hands by pouncing on the closest pussy.

The cast is all-star and includes, in addition to the aforementioned Digital Playground contract girls: Ben English (the dean), Tommy Gunn (the coach), Lisa Ann, (the receptionist), Katsuni (the French teacher), Erik Everhard (the Science teacher), Evan Stone (the Health teacher), Mick Blue (the Chemistry teacher), and students played by Scott Nails, Angelina Valentine, Mason Moore, Jenna Haze, and James Deen.

Of the eight scenes in Teachers, I found six to be stellar. Sadly, two of the scenes left me wanting (more below in the "Review" section). For this reason, Teachers earns a recommended rating rather than an X-Critic Pick.

The videography, audio, and production values in Teachers are top-notch. Some of the scenes are "daydream" scenarios in which a meddling teacher reads the girls' "dirty diary" and imagines what actually transpired. These scenes are presented in color that is less than completely saturated. This slightly sepia-toned imagery is supposed to signify the dream-like state of the diary's reader. Although I don't care for the effect this lighting effect has on the girls' fleshtones (I think I would have used a gauzy sort of effect, instead), the video does contrast nicely with the "real life" action that occurs in several scenes.

As always, director Robby D. and his cast did a very nice job capturing the action. There are no bumpy camera movements, trite oblique camera angles, or other amateuristic video outcomes.

Teachers was released as a two-DVD slip covered set in the Fall of 2009. This formatting leads one to compare it with other "epic" fall releases. Although Teachers is a lot of fun, it is not a big fall release along the lines of Pirates 2. The movie's plot, while appealing and very watchable, is not of "epic" proportions. In addition, the selection of extras, which is generally extensive in big fall releases, is, at best, average.

So, instead of comparing Teachers to "epics," compare it to other "light features," such as Nurses. In this competition, I think that Nurses wins hands-down. So much so, in fact, that I'd rather advise you to buy Nurses instead of Teachers.

One of the reasons I like Nurses so much more than Teachers is its plausibility. I know that watching porn requires us to check our "disbelief" at the door. But, too much about Teachers is so unlikely that the movie gives me pause. For example, even though the Digital Playground girls play their ditzy schoolgirl roles to a tee, the "students" are simply far too old to be in high school. In fact, one of the major "lessons" I took away from Teachers is that students at Fillmore Bush high school never seem to graduate! To illustrate, here is the list of "students" and their ages (according to www.iafd.com): Jesse Jane (29), Jenna Haze (27), Scott Nails (27), Mason Moore (24), Angelina Valentine (23), Stoya (23), James Deen (23), Riley Steele (22), and Angelina Armani (22). While I love all the girls in the above list, they're simply past "high school" age.

The second thing that bothers me about Teachers is the adult faculty members' seeming obliviousness to pesky little laws that prohibit statutory rape, sex with minors, and child abuse. There are very few real teachers who would ever risk their entire careers for a blowjob. You've seen the news stories about teachers who've tried.

Third, there's no fucking dress code at Fillmore Bush High School. No high school would knowingly allow panty-less pussies like "Fillmore." Nor would the extensive tattoos of Scott Nails, Angelina Valentine, and Mason Moore be visible on real campuses.

For the above reasons, I really think that Robby D. should have set this movie in a college. Twenty-something girls, extensive tattoos, and racy attire would fit in there perfectly. So would consensual sex between consenting adults.

Robby may argue that his storyline wouldn't have worked in a college because nobody would care about the girls' dirty diary. Not so, especially if the college was a private religious-oriented liberal-arts school. Even the school bus orgy would have worked.

So, here's a piece of unsolicited (and probably unwanted) advice to Robby D...shoot a movie called "Coeds" and develop the plot around girls and their sexy male professors. I, a real doctor, hereby offer my services as an endearing professor (just kidding!).

What I Didn't Like:

Scene 2

This selection of Extras is far less than those included on most "big fall releases." But, given the quality of the BTS, the Extras are on par with most "non-big-release" DVDs. Three stars. 

Final Thoughts

The best things about Teachers include:
