Extras: The extras included a 19:44 minute long Behind the Scenes feature (the working title changed from “Kinky Wedding Day 2”), a “pick your pleasure” menu, a photogallery, trailers, spam, and some company information. The lengthy BTS by Jacky herself was comprised solely of cast interviews, allowing the participants to bandy about ideas related to the production.

Audio/Video Quality: Almost Relatives was presented in a crisp, anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Jacky St. James for New Sensations. Using the talents of Paul Woodcrest and Eddie Powell on cameras, editor Gabrielle Anex, and the usual crew responsible for the company’s best efforts, Jacky applied the technical team much like she does on her other works to get things looking and sounding great. The flesh tones were accurate and the composition of most camera angles looked good, the editing as smooth as ever to draw attention away from the technical side so viewers can just enjoy the resulting four vignettes. There was a company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen for those who care. The aural components were satisfying too, the music, vocals, and ambient sounds all blended in for a welcome upgrade from the plethora of generic sounding releases I put up with on a weekly basis. As with the visual aspects of the movie, the audio portion was handled nicely, perhaps other companies will start paying more attention too.

Body of Review: Jacky St. James is a popular director at New Sensations, the talented young lady winning many awards as a result of her works. Her latest release in the “Tales From The Edge” series in for review is called Almost Relatives, a set of four related scenes showing a wedding party that gets entangled sexually with one another, a good amount of humor included with the often heated trysts using a cast of ladies including Brandi Love, Karla Kush, Jessa Rhodes, and Scarlet Red opposite men like Steven St. Croix and Tommy Gunn. The back cover said this about the feature: “Things become heated between a bride and the best man when their explosive attraction to one another makes them question their loyalty to the groom. When father-of-the-bride, Tommy wakes up naked in the maid-of-honor's bed, he realizes that maybe there is great sex after marriage. A illicit affair between groom, Chad and his future mother-in-law reaches a breaking point when things get hot and heavy just hours before the wedding. Unprepared and flustered by her responsibilities as a bridesmaid, Scarlet gets swept up in an afternoon tryst with the minister when he gives her a massage as a way of de-stressing her.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Brandi Love, the sexy fine blonde MILF featured on the left side of the front cover, was up first with Chad White, her relationship as soon to be mother in law adding to the risk factor substantially. All four ladies, Brandi Love, Jessa Rhodes, Karla Kush, and Scarlet Red were easy on the eyes and decent in bed, the guys more varied in their capabilities but the overall impact still quite favorable. In short, Almost Relatives was the latest in the “Tales From The Edge” line that people are finding well worth checking out, the director offering some taboo encounters without the step relation angle, at least not quite, so check it out.
