Extras: The best extra was the 31:48 minute long bonus scene taken from Performers of the Year 2009 that starred Alexis Texas (described below). I also liked the 6:19 minute long Behind the Scenes montage from the days of shooting the movie. Audio/Video Quality: Glamour Girls was presented in an 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director William H. Nutsack for Elegant Angel using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec with 480i resolution. The camera work was solid with plentiful lighting to eliminate grain, video noise and shadows and the picture appeared to be crisp this time. There was an emphasis on close ups but the editing by Robert Laplanc was pretty solid in most cases, balancing out the various angles and timing nicely enough. Currently, Nutsack is the king of well lit gonzo, other directors opting for arty effects or texture instead of a crisp picture all too often though there were a couple of spots that he seemed to try slightly new things, most of them working nicely and the others still unable to diminish the heat of the respective scenes. I saw few compression artifacts (it was largely falling around the mid 3.3 Mbps video bitrate; on the low end but probably needed given the amount of material on the DVD) and the composition of the camera angles strongly favored the female performers as most of their work these days tends to do. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English track was pretty basic with little separation or dynamic range yet I could hear the cast well enough in most cases. For those keeping track, the audio was offered in a 192 Kbps offering with a 48 kHz sampling rate, plenty of room considering how little took place on it but leaving room for future efforts too. There were a few musical interludes this time you might enjoy, greater attention paid to this aspect of the movie as a result.

Body of Review: The other day, a friend of mine pointed out that what he finds unappealing about most modern porn is the trend towards sexual athleticism over beauty and chemistry. The company website advertised the movie like this: "AVN Performer Of The Year 2009, Jenna Haze, stars in Glamour Girls, alongside Amy Ried, Jenaveve Jolie, Sarah Vandella, and Jenna Presley, directed by the award winning, William H, and shot in 1080p HD. Featuring five intense and passionate hardcore sex scenes, the movie also includes extended tease sequences for each girl in an epic location, as well as interviews, and photo shoot footage." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jenaveve Jolie, a heavily tattooed Latina given the glam treatment, was up first as she gave a short interview and longer tease session, looking like she has been keeping in shape but still playful. The use of light and shadows in the empty warehouse combined with her sultry moves and some interesting music made this a lot of fun to appreciate.
