Extras: For many of you, the bonus scene from Burn will be the best extra even though it has nothing to do with this title. It lasted 13:20 minutes and showed Jenna Jameson with her husband Justin Sterling going at it in a dark bedroom, some fun to be had for sure if you haven't seen it yet. There were some trailers, spam for the company, a photogallery, and a lengthy, 44:57 minute long Behind the Scenes feature (my favorite extra by far, even enough to make it worth picking up for this one) where the director was the star but most of the cast were given a chance to chat with the camera a bit.

Audio/Video Quality: The It Girl was presented in a 1.33:1 ratio full frame color with 480i resolution offering as shot back in 2003(!!!) by director Chi Chi LaRue for Vivid Entertainment to be released in this MPEG-2 standard definition version. Given the amount of material contained in the movie and the lengthy BTS, a second disc might have helped elevate the look of the show, the video bitrate hovering around the 3.4 Mbps mark most of the times I checked it. Given the age of the material and methods of shooting back then, the compression needed to jam so much information on the disc was bothersome, the erotic manner in which Chi Chi shot the lesbian oriented fare such that you will either like it or hate it with few of you in the middle. I would have preferred more medium to wide shots to provide a better scan of the scenes, especially the ones where there were multiple partners engaging in sexual depravity at the same time, but the composition of the angles combined with all the support crew's efforts did manage to enhance the look of the gals at every turn. The editing by Fletcher Martin was heavy-handed from what I could tell but the troublesome company watermark ever present in the lower right hand corner too. The audio was presented in the standard 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 256 Kbps audio bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate but it lacked separation or substantial bass, the dynamic range quite limited. Overall, it was quite average with some noticed overdubbing of vocals including moans & groans but I did enjoy the theme song "Without You" by "Sharon Cain" (meaning production assistant Sharon Kane, IIRC).
Dee and Julian
Body of Review: Chi Chi LaRue was one of the main directors at Vivid Entertainment until several years back. He took exception to the way the company abandoned their former policy on mandatory condoms, Vivid going condom-optional at the request of their contract performers, and went back to directing gay porn. That said, there are still a number of older titles locked away in the company vaults from years ago, including a half baked Jenna Jameson title just released called The It Girl. The feature appears to be another detective-lite offering that wasn't quite finished when sealed away for the last six and a half years, Jenna still in her lesbian sex phase at the time. I won't go into the plotted points too much because they left so much out that I wonder if a director's cut years from now will be twice as long, restoring the footage that helped make the dialogue portions work but this is Jenna we're talking about so at least she can remind us of a time when she looked doable. The back cover said it like this: "There's a serial killer on the loose and only one person can stop him...or her...and it's Jenna, The It Girl. Set in the high-fashion world of show-bars, Jenna takes you from pole dancing to pole slamming, with glam-queens Monique Alexander, Wendy Divine, Dee and Nicole Sheridan all in heels, right behind her. They're fleeing a killer, but they give some killer head in the process...and in the end...it's non-stop sex to die for. And that my friends, is how Jenna got to be The It Girl." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used for those still interested:
Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo
Scene One: Jenna Jameson, the lollipop-wielding lady featured on the top of the front cover, was up first in a very short lesbian tryst with attractive Monique Alexander. There was precious little introduction to the ladies on the couch, just a text message with a picture of Jenna as a cop to set the stage. None of that did much for the scene though, Jenna pulling of Monique's panties to savor a little snatch with her tongue and fingers, Monique a net receiver here except for a bit of titty play.
Jenna Jameson and Nicole Sheridan
Scene Two: Wendy Divine, a curvy gal playing a dyke door watcher for the club, was up next as she slammed Randy Spears out the front door into an alley as Jenna danced on stage. Randy didn't miss a whole lot (though the joke about Glen the makeup artist was pretty funny) as he ate Wendy out, the gal clearly in charge of the situation as she made him kiss her ass. Randy's oral attempts led to the pair finding a conveniently placed mattress in the alley where she blew him aggressively, Randy providing just the kind of commentary needed to kill the heat. The surprisingly abrupt edit showed them from dry humping to full fledged condom riding in cowgirl, a whole two positions shown before he jerked out a nut of genetic juice to her face.
Scene Three: Dee, an attractive Puerto Rican gal, was up next with muscular Julian in the club, the two finding each other irresistible in the red colored booth at the back of the club. Her roast beef labia and trimmed bush looked inviting so he went down on her, the pair showing no chemistry or energy at all as they went through the motions. She worked his pecker over with equal amounts of passion too, showing all the enthusiasm of a hooker whose rate has been bargained down on a slow night, the music changing gears midstream and more surprise edits where the oral led to a vaginal screw consisting of almost no variations, his population pudding landing all over both of them for her to lick up slightly.
Scene Four: Nicole Sheridan, looking particularly attractive on the generic couch beside Voodoo, was up next with him as the two relieved some stress from the job the old fashioned way. They pawed each other ably enough, showing some of the missing chemistry that should have been in place previously but for sadly mismatched pairings, their verbal banter sounding improvised like the rest of the script. He teased her with some oral and she rubbed her feet on his panted crotch, Voodoo eventually connecting with her pussy. He gave her head as though welcoming the task too, Nicole savoring his efforts to warm her up before she reciprocated with a very short blowjob. This resulted in her actively riding his cock vaginally, impaling herself in cowgirl before the missionary position and ending blowjob elicited his seed on her face.
Scene Five: Jenna Jameson, all slutted up with a huge tranny wig and masturbating in a chair, then became the next target of the serial killer before Nicole Sheridan came in to save the day. The two ladies embraced in a lesbian scene where they pulled their clothing off to kiss slowly, this time both of them giving each other some pleasure before Nicole took a strap on dildo to bone Jenna, the two trading places before long so each could get some fake cock. The scene showed the couple having no chemistry together and limited energy, forcing their way through it in such a way that I could see why this languished in the vaults for so long.
Bonus Scene: Burn: Jenna Jameson, finding her advances toward her boss Justin Sterling unrewarded, was up last in a fantasy sequence where he spanked her instead of sending her away. The pair merged with a sense of chemistry that most of the previous scenes simply did not have, the movie shot long before the couple divorced in real life. She sucked his dick and looked good despite the limited lighting, Justin smacking her around as though he could see their future apart from each other. He did manage to go down on her and she was quite active during the vaginal screwing, even when he fingered her sweet ass though the doggy position looked best to me. He launched his wad of population pudding to her mouth at the end, some minor antics at the end finishing up the movie as a whole (Justin spanking her as she had her panties around her thighs, a fantasy sequence while she was at work but heated nonetheless).
Summary: The It Girl by director Chi Chi LaRue for Vivid Entertainment was a far cry from their best work and is probably best suited for completists wanting to see Jenna Jameson in everything she has done. For me, the plotted points were so terrible that I hesitate to even call them that, the sex only decent in a single scene, and the pacing of the movie weak enough that it should have either remained in the company archives or added onto the next Jenna compilation so I rated it as a Skip It. In short, The It Girl showed feature performer Jenna Jameson on the decline even years ago, the resulting mess of a movie the kind that only a slavering fanboy could find appealing. If you like Jenna in half-baked lesbian scenes, condom use for everyone else, and no real reason for picking up a skin flick, by all means try this one out but Vivid has made a lot of progress since this was made and you'd do better randomly selecting any of their other titles made in the last five years.
