Audio/Video Quality: Gym Angels was presented in a crisp anamorphic widescreen offering as shot by director Robby D. for Digital Playground. Robby D. was the director while Sir Richard Manwin III, Mickey Doom, Alex Tea, and Billy Da Kid worked the cameras, the editing handled by Not Nick P. XXX and PJ Bronson with various other technical roles filled by all the usual people. The visual elements looked good though the story was disjointed to say the least, some of the editing and camera work needing a lot of polishing up. The aural qualities by Seth Cardigan were modest but presented in a post production added 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround, the elevated bit rate of 448 Kbps not hurting the ability to hear the vocals, some pretty good music included though it wasn’t credited to anyone.

Body of Review: Digital Playground has long stood out as one of the biggest feature porn producers in the industry, popular director Robby D. last coming out with a web series called Gym Angels, now released on a double disc set. The show had eight episodes of varying lengths and was similar in format to other such series the company has released of late. I don’t want to spoil the feature elements but they were handled well enough in most ways, enough screen time devoted to fleshing some aspects out as can be expected. Sovereign Syre, Jenna J. Ross, Kendall Karson, and Chloe Chaos were the four leads this time, a lot of partial scenes included where the action ended sooner than a guy’s pop shot but basically, each episode had a single main sex scene of one on one sex, most of them with a male and a female. The light story had two of the ladies trying to open a competing gymnasium, some interpersonal conflict arising from the owner of their current gym over their goal.

The back cover said: “Fit and toned babes, Janet, Amber and Lily want to have a really sweaty workout, but instead at Linda's gym; all they're having are half-ass training sessions and increased rates! "No pain, no gain," is their motto and tired of the service, they end their membership to start their own gym called, Gym Angels. Using every squat, lift and crunch they've endured, the girls train hard scouting locations, acquiring funds and hiring a construction team, because they know they have to fuck hard to succeed! Once Linda finds out about Gym Angels, she tries everything in her power to jeopardize the gym, every step of the way.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Charlotte Stokely, a pale skinned bleach blond that I haven’t seen in porn for some time, and tanned brunette hotty Aidra Fox, were up first in the showers making out. The sexual trysts were fairly basic and the dramatic elements were admittedly on the middle school acting level most of the time, the story elements needing a whole lot more to compete with what is on the market these days. In short, Gym Angels might not be quite ready for prime time but the players offered up a sexual soap opera drama that fans of the cast should appreciate, all the scenes tied into one another in varying degrees of quality so check it out.
