Audio/Video Quality: Superstar Slut Challenge was a compilation of scenes from past works by director Chris Streams while working for Jules Jordan Video. As such, they were all in widescreen color, showed various visual attributes guided by the individual releases (the “Pretty As They Cum” series offering more visual style but “Oil Overload” providing a better straightforward approach), and looked very solid in each case as scenes from both Jenna Haze and Tori Black were contrasted with one another. There was no company watermark in the lower right hand corner as most productions demand these days, the best looking material in my opinion coming from the Oil Overload series thanks to the use of sunlight and crisp visual elements. The aural components were offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital, some introduction music included but otherwise relying on the vocals of the cast. There were occasional, and very minimal, background noises at times but overall the sound was basic but well done.

Body of Review: Chris Streams is a gifted director whose work at Jules Jordan Video has long been acknowledged by myself and my fellow reviewers at Xcritic. His latest release is a compilation of eight scenes called Superstar Slut Challenge. The two superstars in question were Jenna Haze and Tori Black, each offering good looks and strokability but at the same time catering to two different dynamics in their scenes. While I would have greatly appreciated the compilation being labeled as such, and maybe even labeling the scenes as to which movies they came from (I had seen most of them in the past but the IAFD certainly helped save me some time), I enjoyed each of the scenes enough to overlook this fact. In all but one case, the scenes came from movies where both ladies worked, the sole exception being Jenna working in Oil Overload 1 while Tori’s scene came from volume 3, the other titles being from Pretty As They Cum 1, Full Streams Ahead 1, and Brother Load 1. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Pretty As They Cum 1: Jenna Haze, Toni Ribas, Michael Stefano: Jenna Haze, the superstar standing in the lower left hand corner of the cover, was up next as the last scene on the first disc, her makeup and seductive lingerie looking exceptionally enhancing to her admittedly attractive appeal. Jenna has had a number of scenes that looked like this in the past so the stark contrast was not as prominent as the prior scenes, her slow motion, music infused tease and solo work still catching my eye though. She followed the formula and the stylish look was maintained, her coy and seductive gazes toward the camera not nearly as overt as usual. While not as curvy as Alexis, she had an appeal of her own and the slow nature of the tease struck me as a bit more mechanical here but enticing all the same. It would be too simple to say that she is the biggest name in porn still shooting many scenes but if you inquire as to her current rate, you will find it tops almost everyone else, especially if you don't count the debutante "names" that rarely make porn any more. Summary: Superstar Slut Challenge by director Chris Streams for Jules Jordan Video provided some superior levels of fuck for the buck (over 5.5 hours), strokability (let’s face it, we’re talking about Jenna Haze and Tori Black here), replay value (glamour scene, IR scene, POV scene, and oil scene each), with great technical values to make this one stand out as Highly Recommended for me. I would have liked better labeling but in reality, the content is king so I’d be hard pressed to rate this as any lower, my prohibition against rating compilations (unless they have new content included) any higher standing firm. In short, Superstar Slut Challenge might have benefitted from new material by each lady or even a short introduction by the director himself with a final tally as to whom he thought “won” the competition, but you just can’t go wrong with this one unless you hate the performers or have already seen the scenes in their previous incarnations.
