Synopsis

This is one of Celeste's works of art that is accompanied only by music and is dialog-free. So, the storyline is indefinite and, thus, subject to interpretation. That said, here's my take on Mrs. Behavin'.

Janine plays a wealthy homeowner who uses her sumptuous surroundings as a setting in which to live out all of her sexual fantasies. Not only does Janine fulfill her own desires within the walls of her lavish home, but she also encourages her maid and houseguests to do the same. She even surreptitiously spies on the sexual encounters that go on around her.

Although it may be a bit kinky for me to surmise this, it occurs to me that Janine is portraying an extremely fit--and horny--mom. Believe it or not, I recently learned what "MILF" means: "Mothers I'd Love to Fuck." Well, Janine is, as I understand it, a real life mom. And, it's obvious to me that she's playing a mom in Mrs. Behavin'. It goes without saying that she's one mother I truly would love to fuck.

My kinky mind went one step further as I watched Mrs. Behavin'. Since Scott Nails always seems to be around, I infer that he is playing Janine's son. In one scene, Scott pays busty blond babe Brooke Haven to fuck him. In another encounter, he and Janine get it on. How kinky is that? How "misbehavin'" is that?

Janine appears in a total of five scenes in Mrs. Behavin'. Three of the scenes are boy/girl, one is solo masturbation, and the fifth (included as a bonus scene in the Extras) is a girl/girl with Sophia Santi (Digital Playground's former contract girl). Review

Sometimes, a movie just doesn't need to be reviewed. In some cases, an actor or actress is so superb that any movie in which that person is featured is worthwhile. I feel that way about Julia Roberts and Harrison Ford. In other cases, a director's body of work is so superb that you just know that anything he or she creates will be top notch. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas come to mind. If my favorite actor or actress is in a movie, I buy it no matter what the critic's say. Similarly, if my favorite director crafts a movie, it's a no-brainer.

In the case of Mrs. Behavin', two undeniably superb forces come together to produce a superb creation: one of these "forces" is a performer and the other a director. There is simply no way that a movie starring Janine and directed by Celeste could, in my opinion, fail.

There are only two things you need to know to make a decision about buying, renting, or downloading Mrs. Behavin'. 1) Janine is in it; and 2) Celeste directed it.

Why is Janine so special?

Let's start with Alis Volat Propiis. You might wonder why I'd include a Latin phrase in my review and, in particular, in the comment tag line. It's because it's inked on Janine's flesh, midway between her navel and her clit. It must mean a lot to her and, to me, it truly expresses who I think she is. Alis Volat Propiis means "she flies with her own wings." I think these words perfectly describe Janine's strength, her independence, and her self-determination. Janine is one of very few female adult performers who uses her own name instead of a stage name. She's gutsy for that. It proves she's self-assured, strong, and unafraid of what others may think of her. I don't know how long she has had Alis Volat Propiis tattooed on her flesh. However, I congratulate her on this superb motto since it fits her to a tee.

Second, Janine has had a long and eventful career. A quick check of adultdvdempire.com indicates that she has over 350 titles in her filmography. I remember seeing her in movies back in the early 1990s. In particular, I was most impressed by her partnership with the fabulous Julia Ann. In fact, the two women had a very popular touring show called Blondage for many years. Believe me, in the early and mid 1990's I'd always pick up any movie that featured Janine. In fact, I think she's the primary reason that I like girl/girl sex.

If you do want to hear her scream, the Behind the Scenes feature in the Extras has lots of unedited footage featuring her real sounds.

Janine has skillfully managed--and prolonged--her career through a series of astute decisions. While she has always admitted that she is bi-sexual and enjoys men as well as women, she remained "veggie-only" for many years. That built up among her fans a tremendous desire to see her do guys. Now that she's gone "meat-lover," I'm hoping that she'll try anal. I'll wait, Janine.

Fifth, it seems to me that Janine really exploded when she worked with Digital Playground. In Pirates, arguably one of the most ambitious adult movies of all times, Janine provides absolutely volcanic scenes with Tommy Gunn (b/g) and Jesse Jane (g/g). Even more impressive, if that's possible, is Janine's superb performance as an actress. Add to those accomplishments Janine's stellar sexual performances in Mrs. Behavin' and you'll see why I think she's really shining at Digital Playground.

Why is Celeste so special?

Because she's a genius! I believe that she's the most artistically gifted former porn star (she performed as Bunny Luv) who has ever crossed to the other side of the camera. Other porn girls (Jewel de'Nyle, Brittney Skye) have done an excellent job directing hard-hitting and extremely watchable porn. However, in my opinion, Celeste is the most artistic of all.

I like Celeste's work for a couple of reasons. First, her sex scenes are almost always hot and edgy without being indecent. Somehow, under Celeste's direction (along with the exceptional videography by her colleague Robby D) all things sexual appear as beautiful as the Sistine Chapel. Imagine, anal sex as art (Brooke Haven eagerly takes it up the ass in her scene with Scott Nails in Mrs. Behavin')! Celeste paints a picture of superb sexual expression using a palette of not only the most attractive of performers, but also the finest of locations, sets, and wardrobe. And, her choice of music to accompany the on-screen action is extraordinary as is her supervision of the editing.

Second--and some will surely disagree--I like the way that Celeste uses slight slow motion in her sex scenes. The slow motion is not so noticeable as to make the performers appear lethargic. However, it is just slow enough to highlight the stunning beauty of the human body as it is overcome with sexual pleasure. Personally, I truly enjoy watching the perfomers' bodies in slight slow motion as they move during sex. The decreased speed accentuates the body's musculature and particularly emphasizes big and full breasts (every female in Mrs. Behavin' has superb boobs).

Of course, the problem with recording video in slow motion is that the sound is also recorded at less-than-normal speed. Thus, playback of the performers' real sounds would sound sluggish. So, Celeste "solves" the audio speed problem by replacing the actual sounds of sex with music. In most directors' hands, this process would be disastrous. However, since Celeste selects superb and extremely appropriate music to accompany each scene, the problem is diminished (although not entirely solved).

Overall, I find that I almost always like Celeste's work. In fact, I can only think of one of her scenes that I didn't like (she had Devon chop some meat with a cleaver in one scene--not sexy, if you'd ask me!).

OK, so you need further convincing?

Mrs. Behavin' boasts eight scenes that, while edgy, are certainly couples-appropriate. There's a good deal of emphasis on foreplay, including kissing, fellatio, handjobs, cunnilingus, rimming, and tit sucking.

Sex includes masturbation, boy/girl, boy/boy/girl, and girl/girl (in the bonus scene). Positions include missionary, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, standing doggie, and spoon. While most penetrations are vaginal, Brooke Haven enjoys having her ass reamed by Scott Nails. Janine uses condoms when she fucks Erik Everhard in a boy/girl and also when she takes on both Dexter Dizzle and Mandingo. I suppose that any critic would always have a suggestion or two--even for one of his favorite directors. In my case, I'd suggest to Celeste that she make sure that each scene has at least three sexual positions. Four of the scenes in Mrs. Behavin' have only two positions. Frankly, I like to savor a woman's body in several positions during a scene. Adding a position to each of the aforementioned scenes would add a few minutes to the scene and lengthen the movie. I'd enjoy that, too. I think that fitting eight scenes into an hour and a half results in a bit too little time with each couple. Finally, especially given Janine's obvious screaming orgasms in Mrs. Behavin', I'd like to see Celeste add a little real audio even though the video is in slight slow motion.

Are there any reasons you won't like Mrs. Behavin'?

I suppose that if you don't like beautiful things you won't like Mrs. Behavin'. JUST KIDDING!

Seriously, if your taste leads more to very hard-core sex--double penetrations, extensive ass-to-mouth, cum consumption, cum swapping, and so on--you may find Mrs. Behavin' a bit mild for your taste. However, using my scale, the sex rates 4.6 stars on a five-star scale.

Also, if you absolutely must have the sounds of sex to be satisfied, you probably won't like Mrs. Behavin'. Of course, if that's the case you probably won't like any of Celeste's movies.

DVD Perspectives

Video (technical): The widescreen video is perfect. There's nothing else to say. Five stars.

Audio (technical): Again, the 5.1 Dolby Digital sound is perfect for listening to the superb musical soundtrack. I wonder then they're going to start selling the musical soundtracks for Celeste's movies. Five stars.

Extras: Mrs. Behavin' may have the best set of extras that I've seen on any of Celeste's movies. Of course, the DVD has the ubiquitous full-motion chapter selection, interactive menus, trailers, slide show (both manual and self-running), and company information that are customary on contemporary releases. However, you'll also find a very revealing nine-plus minute Behind the Scenes featurette (watch it to see just how loud Janine does scream when she cums!) and a complete girl/girl bonus scene featuring Janine and Sophia Santi. Frankly, I'm confused as to why they didn't include it in the movie itself. It's very nicely done, has a great musical soundtrack, and is in wide screen format like the movie itself. I'd have included it in the movie. Finally, there are single screen text bios of Janine and Sophia Santi. Four and stars.

Aesthetics: Celeste, thy name is aesthetics. Five stars.
