Extras: Titles in the Blu-ray realm these days are often lacking in terms of extras, many companies otherwise thought of as "high end" companies failing to include even the extras included on the SD versions of their movies. This time, there was a second disc devoted to a second version of the movie that provided 153:37 minutes of tease and BTS material edited much like the movie itself except that it emphasized the deleted material John could not include into the flick itself. This is a welcome and bold way of capturing the lusty hearts of his loyal fanbase (myself included) as it provides even more of what we're collectively looking for. There were some text filmographies of the ladies, a cast list, three trailers, a 50 second message from the director thanking his fans, a biography for the director, and some website links.

Audio/Video Quality: Buttman's Stretch Class was presented in an amazingly clear 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as shot by director John Stagliano for Evil Angel as presented in the MPEG-2 format so common to standard definition titles, using 1080i resolution. While I expected the company to utilize the best available codecs for the movie, even one of their "second tier" flicks under the "Buttman Magazine Choice" line, I thought this must be an upgrade (I haven't seen the SD version of the movie; hence the lack of pictures) given some of the tiny details the enhanced resolution added into it. As I awaited seeing this high definition title (the second from the company), I wondered how it would compare to Buttman's Beautiful Brazilian Ass as well as the rest of the market these days; even the best companies finding that Blu-ray has a lot of elements to exploit as well as detract if not handled properly. The lighting was fair, limiting the grain and other visual flaws in the open settings, showing how high definition can make scenes "come to life" even without high end coding and full 1080p resolution. The composition of the shots was largely enhancing to the ladies though as they teased, some minor polishing up needed but providing a solid second attempt at high definition porn by the acknowledged long time king of gonzo. There were no compression artifacts (the bitrate only hovering in the 14.2 Mbps range most of the time I paid attention to it), but it was all over the place numerically but the fleshtones were all I expected them to be, making this one visually packed with substantial amounts of information to perk up my interest. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) was a bit more basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure.

Body of Review: John Stagliano is a gonzo legend in the porn industry, popularizing the shooting style that so many amateur directors used in the early to late 1980's and elevating it to new heights along with Patrick Collins, Seymore Butts, and others before it became the dominant style of our day. His company is Evil Angel and it distributes some of the hottest porn you will find made domestically, hot enough that the federal authorities are trying to use the courts to shut him down. One of the most interesting sets of niches John addresses these days comes out in his "Buttman Magazine Choice" line that typically highlights some of the kinkier material he distributes but now including one of his own with Buttman's Stretch Class: 2 Disc Set Blu-ray. The focus of the four scenes was a variety of gals including Aline, Claire Adams, Monica Santhiago, and Jandi Lin masturbating and teasing the camera with John assisting them along the way. There was no penetrative sex and the major theme of the day was how extreme the gals could masturbate with huge toys, especially anally. The company website said it like this: "In his second Blu-ray release, John Stagliano commits to a luxurious, intimate portrait of his subjects, four women who are as idiosyncratic and generous with their sexuality as they are lovely. John coaxes these young ladies to get off with a wide array of sex toys and paraphenalia; the extensive behind-the-scenes footage on Disc Two reveals the girls at their most open, and highlights the extraordinary cooperation between director and star. Ostensibly about the stretching of the female anus and other parts, Buttman's Stretch Class ends up as much about stretching one's erotic boundaries and reexamining the assumptions that govern female sexuality in porn. The Buttman's Stretch Class DVD is being released as a double-disc set in both Standard and Blu-ray formats, and includes 2 hours 33 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and extra solo action, plus John Stagliano trailers." No condoms were used and no genetic juice was splooged on the ladies but John did his best to encourage all of them to provide a wealth of erection-pleasing footage laced with kinky outfits, large toys, and a friendly atmosphere offering up a lot of replay value.

Okay, each of the ladies showed how well she could stretch out; stretching out her legs, pussy, and ass for the most part by using large dildos. There was as many anal gapes as one could hope to see and the gals felt at ease as John talked to them, none of them shying away from his touch or words, even when he spoke with Aline about his federal prosecution for the Milk Enema movie he distributed or the appeal of Jandi's incredibly lean figure bouncing around inches from his face. Between the two discs, there was almost 6 hours of footage too, the playful fun centering less on the removal of clothing (which is standard in the tease portions of fuck flicks these days) than on the actual use of fingers and toys. There was a lot of taste testing too and Nacho on the cell phone made for a cute moment, even a guy named Damien trying to assist with Claire's scene.

While I did not get to see the standard definition version of the movie to get pictures from, I cannot deny the heat of the action displayed here, the lack of a real cock penetrating the holes not weakening it for me at all. If nothing else, John should be commended for thinking outside the box (pun intended) by trying something few of his peers would dare do; selling a porno without penetration or lesbian action on Blu-ray, depending on the ladies to provide the chemistry and heat they felt while working for John. John copped a feel or a hundred during the shooting of the movie too but refrained from going too far given his medical condition, savoring the experience for the viewer at home in such a manner that said fans will not feel cheated.

So, rather than provide a specific breakdown of the scenes given that the range of what they did was so limited (but hot nonetheless), I will just tell you that the flick reminded me of what is important, the quality of the ladies far and away outpacing some of the solo market titles you will find not just for the amounts of circus act sex but also for the willingness to try it out on the Blu-ray format that generally doesn't sell nearly as well as some PR experts would have you believe. If you want sex between partners that ends up in copious amounts of population pudding gracing the faces of the gals, look elsewhere but if you want the real deal in terms of sexually enticing solo action, you will love this movie.

Summary: Buttman's Stretch Class by director John Stagliano for Evil Angel was not your standard, traditional porno but I felt it was something many of you would enjoy so I rated it as Highly Recommended for fans of tease and fetish attire. The pantyhose, stripper shoes, and all sorts of toys made it something to look for too but I acknowledge it will not be for everyone. In short, Buttman's Stretch Class: 2 Disc Set could have used better technical aspects and mastering but the energy and passion John captured was the kind of thing too many of his peers have forgotten to add into their own productions so pick up a copy of this one to see what I'm talking about. Oh, for the record, I have not seen the standard definition version of the movie but I suspect it would be just as worthy of your time, money, and seed as this one was (maybe more so given the additional cost of the Blu-ray version) but you should appreciate the flavors of hotty he added to make it special.
