Extra's: There were the usual high definition trailers to Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge, Pirates I, Cheerleaders, Babysitters, Island Fever 3, Jack's Teen America, and Island Fever 4 and photogallery but the best extra was the 10:54 minute Behind the Scenes feature shot by Jamal Johnson (who was just "out of jail" per Mark) and edited by T. Baggs. It had some of the amusing pop up videos, a bit of goofing around, and plenty of Jana Cova (though Robby's insistence at trying to get her working with men was nearly as comical). There appeared to be a missing or deleted scene given the footage with Jerry and Cody Lane but it was not on my advance screener copy so I don't know what happened to it.

Audio/Video Quality: Jana Cova: Lust Blu-ray was presented in the usual 1.78:1 ratio  widescreen color as envisioned by director Celeste for Digital Playground in the usual AVC codec reserved for high definition releases (the resolution sporting the 1080p we all like so much). The high end equipment and skilled crew of regulars assisted director of photography Robby to make this release look really sharp; losing the artistic style that doesn't always work so well for me. In fact, the technical matters showed Robby's influence serving nicely to ground the scenes with less of the arty farty filters and effects that the director sometimes uses. The lighting was generally solid here, reducing the grain, video noise, and other defects that sometimes arise in making porn on a budget; favoring a clear focus in some cases that I was convinced worked very well. The way the scenes were shot and edited was markedly similar in the scenes; the composition favoring the ladies and looking like Robby had no constraints this time. Willem Default was the editor and together with some of the post production effects added in, added the kind of visual texture that made the release stand out from some of Celeste's other works (in a good way though). The DVD mastering revealing no compression artifacts; with the bitrate for the visuals hovering around the mid 19.6 Mbps this time with few flaws but not as low in resolution as previous efforts in related showcase efforts. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English using a 448 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate; over twice that of most porn made these days, with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it. There wasn't much separation between the channels, if any outside of the intermittent music, but the ladies were always clearly heard here.

Body of Review: Jana Cova was my favorite contract gal at Digital Playground before they parted ways awhile back. Her beauty and sensual nature certainly played a large part of that but some of it was also due to her sticking to her limits without being pushed to do what she did not want to do. I don't get to see many movies by her now that she is rarely appearing in post company porn but some of her previously shot footage by director Celeste is still popping up from time to time, making it even more interesting for me to watch. I know that P2 is the most sought after movie by the company at this writing but it was still pleasing to see Jana Cova: Lust Blu-ray before the other media outlets given my attachment to the leading lady herself. The movie was a series of six erotic vignettes with lovely Jana starring in three of them, always partnering up with other ladies, but still giving a wide variety of fans what they want to see with a nice selection of other gals such as Bobbi Starr, Brianna Love, Sammie Rhodes and others. There was no circus act sex and the sexual athleticism seen in some gonzo titles of late was also absent but it still had all the better attributes of a Celeste release with the down to earth technical values of Robby's works propping it up. If that sounds good to you, here is a brief description of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Jana Cova, the major cutie featured on the front cover, was up first as herself, blond Marlie Moore and curvy Andie Valentino established as slavering fangirls wanting to bed her. Summary: Jana Cova: Lust Blu-ray by director Celeste for Digital Playground was a solid tribute to Jana Cova in that two of her scenes were very appealing to me and she looked as beautiful as ever. I am firmly of the belief that the company elevated her status tremendously and understand why they parted ways, but will always appreciate how much mileage they got out of the European beauty queen before she left them. The movie itself lacked any substantive extras and the replay value was not as high as I prefer so I rated it as a Rent It but fans of Jana will want a copy for their very own given how hot she looked here. In short, Jana Cova: Lust reaffirms the idea that Jana was well worth being given numerous projects of her own, getting placed in half the scenes of the movie to show the strength of her appeal to some of us.As far as the high definition upgrade was concerned, like many similar projects, the visuals provided more intensity to the action and the added details certainly made Jana Cova look as good as she could on the small screen, only getting to see her live being a better experience so check it out.
