Audio/Video Quality: Anal Attack 8 was presented in a retro 1.33:1 full frame as shot in by director Raul Cristian for Evil Angel in the MPEG-2 codec used for standard definition releases (including 480 resolution). The lighting varied a lot at times, some of the saturated colors and amounts of grain present testifying to the fact that the director has improved since these scenes were shot. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering that really didn't use any separation in terms of the vocals (there was some potential to do so here too). The dynamic range was also kind of generic, an area that seemed slightly better than previous efforts and an area that Raul could easily improve to make best use of the great many home theaters in the hands of porn fans everywhere.

Body of Review: Raul Cristian is a European director at Evil Angel, his works definitely more about performers being pushed to their limits over romantic sexual encounters involving chemistry. His latest release coming my way was Anal Attack 8, another single disc title that emphasizes hardcore anal action by a variety of ladies taking a “ho holes barred” philosophy to their paid sexual exploits. I accepted that I might not enjoy seeing things get so rough with females performers that essentially put up with it for a check rather than also embracing their trysts, but it terms of the physical stamina and prowess needed to engage in such gonzo exploits for a prolonged period of time the scenes were interesting in the least. Unlike some of the director’s more recent titles (these scenes shot in full frame and looking like they were shot years ago), there was a lot of rough edges on the technical aspects of the movies too, the chemistry between the performers minimal in most cases.

Summary: Anal Attack 8 by director Raul Cristian for Evil Angel was not nearly as engaging as some of his material using domestic performers shot more recently (the new stuff almost always looks better than these compilations of older works) but fans of anal action should consider it worthy of at least being a Rent It. The physical limits were pushed on the ladies and most of them came through. The end result being that some stroke value accomplished even if the replay factor was on the limited side. In short, Anal Attack 8 had over three hours of hardcore sex that was presumably first released on Cruel Media’s website, the lack of archival quality technical values making it pale in comparison to the directors better works.
