The Movie:

This Kenneth Morse directorial effort from 1984 is, if the hyperbole on the packaging is to be believed, Video-X-Pix's best selling title of all time. While Little Oral Annie, born Andrea Parducci, may not be the household name of seventies smut that Linda Lovelace is, her sword swallowing skills are beyond reproach, and her nickname well earned. A lithe and well endowed brunette with an admirable physique and a pretty face, Annie says it best herself when the film begins - "I love sucking dick!" Judging by the enthusiasm she shows in this film, she wasn't lying. While Annie got her start, like many of her contemporaries, in the now legendary Swedish Erotica series of 8mm loops that were sold out of men's magazines and out of smut shops across the land, she soon rose to prominence and became one of the most popular XXX actresses of her generation. As her star started to slowly fade, she wound up working in bondage and fetish pictures before retiring from the adult film industry in 1989 at the ripe old age of twenty-nine years old.

Inside Little Oral Annie is one of the buxom performer's better and best known pictures, and for good reason as it holds up well a quarter century after it was made. The picture starts off with a rad close up of Annie doing her thing on some lucky faceless dude while the opening credits scroll over top of the action. She eats his wad and then talks to the camera about how much she loves a good cock in her mouth - and we're off!

From there, we wander through a few sequences in which Annie struts her stuff and does her thing. After walking through an early 80s-era Times Square, she hits a bar where she meets up with Klaus Multia and Carol Cross. She introduces herself to the couple and they head upstairs where there's a conveniently located bedroom (complete with hardcore photos hanging on the walls and an industrial strength ladder leaning in the corner!) right above the bar! Just like Deep Inside Annie Sprinkle, this film is a fun mix of a personality piece and a traditional hardcore suck 'n' fuck film. With Oral Annie starring in every single one of the scenes it's obvious that the producers were intent on cashing in on her star power, rightfully touting her as Linda Lovelace's successor. It works, and it works well. Annie carries the film well and looks great doing it. She shows off her zest for sucking dick throughout the film and also demonstrates that she's got skills in other areas as well, taking a dick up the ass and fooling around with a few hot ladies too. This gives us a nice mixture, a solid variety of sex to enjoy. Add to that the fact that the film is very nicely shot (some of the oral close ups are amazing) and that it features a good score and some cool early eighties NYC footage and you've got a solid classic that's both erotic and entertaining.

The DVD

Video:

This fullframe transfer looks surprisingly sharp and colorful and the picture quality, for an old XXX film from 1982, looks surprisingly good. There are some specks here and there as well as a moderate amount of grain but this looks to be a film sourced transfer and not a VHS or tape source. The unfortunate decision to add a 'Video X Pix' bug in the bottom right hand corner of the image during a few key scenes is also a strike against the disc, as it is a little annoying when it continues to pop up, but other than that, the black levels stay strong, the skin tones look natural, and while there are a few scenes that look a bit on the soft side, overall this is a nice picture even if it is, regrettably, an interlaced transfer.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital Mono soundtrack is a little muffled and not of the best quality, but again, it's taken from an older source so the limitations of the era's technology are going to be there when that's the case. Dialogue is pretty easy to understand, however, and the background music comes through reasonably clear. There aren't a lot of sound effects used in the film, mostly just some random moaning and groaning during the action scenes and these are handled just fine, as are the talkier bits of the movie.

Extras:

The disc doesn't come with a whole lot in the way of extra features, just a trailer for Inside Seka. Also included is chapter selection and some awkward looking animated menus.

Final Thoughts:

Video-X-Pix's DVD isn't perfect, it could look and sound better than it does, but it does feature a decent transfer of this important golden age film. The extras are weak but the feature itself is great. Inside Little Oral Annie is definitely recommended.
