The Movie:

A VCA catalogue title produced by Snowflake Films in 1987, Innocent Seduction's video generated titles play out over a soft focus still shot while some bad music plays over top. Directed by Adele Robbins, the plot of this XXX soap opera revolves around a few sexually active adults and one daughter who has come of age and hopes to follow in mom's footsteps in more ways than one.

Telling you much more about the storyline would spoil what plot there is, so let's cut to the chase:

Scene One: Jeanna Fine And Eric Edwards This scene starts with Jeanna and her boyfriend in bed, in the midst of a hot and heavy make out session. They're not bad, they're just not great, and as such the movie never gets over the hurdle of mediocrity that afflicts so many adult films. It'll entertain you and arose you as you watch it, but a few days later you'll have forgotten all about it.

Video:

This feature was shot on video and is presented on this DVD fullframe. For a movie that's roughly twenty-two years old, Innocent Seduction doesn't look terrible here though the lighting in the film is pretty poor and as such, it's a little on the dark side. The colors are a little faded and there's some aliasing in some scenes and there are minor problems with the contrast but the picture is clean and clear and stable for the most part. It's far from reference quality but for an older production, it's perfectly watchable.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 sound mix is in English and is pretty standard stuff, no better, no worse. Dialogue comes through clear enough and there I didn't notice any problems as far as synching or levels are concerned. It's hardly an Earth shattering mix in any way, but it serves the film just fine and the cheesy Casio soundtrack sounds alright.

Extras:

Extras are limited to an internet link, some Hustler ads, and still menus. There isn't even a chapter selection menu supplied for the feature, and that's it. No trailers. No still gallery. Nothing. What a disappointment!

Final Thoughts:

A reasonably entertaining and moderately steamy late eighties 'classic' era adult movie, Innocent Seduction features some good performers in good scenes but never really succeeds in igniting the screen the way a good smut movie can. It's not a bad film by any stretch, it's simply an average one and VCA's lackluster presentation doesn't really do it any favors. Rent it.
