The Movie:

Lesbian Sex Volume 8 is the latest in the fairly long running line from Girlfriends Films that claims to be based on ‘intimate true stories.’ If that’s true or not only the producers know for sure but this time around we get a nice two disc set containing over four hours of lovely lesbian action done in the inimitable Girlfriends Films fashion. Here’s a look at how it all goes down…

DISC ONE:

Scene One: Aryana Augstine & Raylene - The two ladies talk to the camera and then to the girls from the second scene about the scene they’re about to perform before getting started. It’s a length talk about sex and preferences and all that fun stuff, and it lasts about thirty three minutes. Once they do start, Raylene is the one to really get it started, taking Aryana’s clothes off and then taking her own clothes off. The scene starts softly with a lot of kissing and petting and rubbing up on one another. Lesbian Sex Volume 8 is a shot on digital video production which looks pretty clean presented here in a very strong and stable 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. There is some mild shimmer in a couple of spots but no noticeable mpeg compression evident anywhere. Skin tones look nice and natural, the compositions are dead on (the camera work is very good here), and overall the movie looks great showing very nice detail and color.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient. The dialogue, of which there is generally only a little bit during the sex scenes during the foreplay – there’s too much kissing for there to be talk! -comes through cleanly and clearly as do all of the moans and groans. The background music is fine, levels are nicely balanced, everything sounds clean and clear and all in all the disc sounds very good.

Extras:

Extras on disc one include an Our Girlfriends segment that is really little more than a minute long slideshow containing some quick clips of the starlets in action with their names underneath. There are also some trailers and promos here as well as a spot advertising the website. These extras are repeated on the second disc. Animated menus and scene selection are also included.

Final Thoughts:

Lesbian Sex Volume 8 is pretty solid stuff and it deliver the kind of high quality girl on girl action that Girlfriends Films has become known for, but honestly the talky interview opening scenes are a bit much. Some context is welcome of course but a few of these run over half an hour and almost half the run time of the two disc set is taken up with this material rather than the actual sex. With that caveat out of the way, and given that some fans will appreciate the interviews more than this reviewer, everything else is well done here and the set comes recommended.
