All the high end cinematography is there, and set design is impeccably clean and appealing as usual. But the sex is a little raunchier than your typical Vixen fare. It’s wet and sloppy with lots of lube lathered over all three bodies.

Riley and Teanna have a penchant for rough and wild performances, and they play off each other well. It’s not so much love or lust, but more of a sport. They are almost competing to see who can choke down Blue’s dick the deepest, or who can fuck him the fastest.

With their intensity in mind, you have to hand it to Blue, a seasoned performer who manages to stay in the game for the full duration of the scene. Imagine plugging your cock into the most intense sex machine ever invented, cranking it to full power, and lasting a good forty minutes. It’s like he’s going through some bizarre pleasure-based torture and it’s awesome. Bum fans even have some rimming to look forward to.

Impeccably filmed, the only issue I might take is acoustic. The opening story features rich audio through voiceover and music, but the pre-sex dialog is all over the place. It feels like it’s been recorded with a shotgun mic, which sounds fantastic when the subject is directly in front of it, but fades rapidly when the angle is off. It’s a small gripe though, and rest assured, the moans and sex sounds are captured in their full symphonic splendor.

It’s a treat to see Starr and Sins together again. While they’ve only shared the screen six times together, it always makes for a good show. And no wonder, in 2014 Starr claimed Sins as her favorite male performer, telling Fleshbot that “he is very sexy and a great performer.”

Starr is no slouch herself, achieving no less than ten AVN nominations in her eight year career, including numerous accolades for Digital Playground’s “Nevermore” last year. An icon indeed.

First, let's talk about location. Producer Jake King and director Laurent Sky play up the business man image with a sleek upper-level suite overlooking the LA financial district. It is a little odd that Dupree has a bed in his office. Maybe he’s an at-home day trader.

The first sex-acts feel particularly risque’ out on the balcony in full view of all the neighboring buildings. It’s wild seeing Anya leaning over the glass railing as she gets nailed by Dupree’s eager cock.

Olsen’s sex is surprisingly dominant when you consider Dupree’s notably rougher style. There’s none of that head-smashing footwork or aggression. The story is told by voiceover, and I appreciate the fact that Vixen did not dub Liya’s mother-tongue over. Instead, you’ve got English subtitles to translate her story.

Clay and Silver create gentle and beautiful sex. There’s nothing too porn-y about it, save for that obligatory reverse-cowgirl shot. They connect and simply make love by the pool.

There’s a sweetness to it, evidenced by the way Clay eats Silver’s pussy. He’s slow and methodical, working every detail with his tongue while keeping intense eye-contact at all times. It’ll give you chills.

Final Thoughts

Vixen’s “Icons 3” delivers more of the same high-quality content from the current generation of Vixen producers. There is no mistaking that Vixen style: beautiful locations, excellent cinematography and artistic filmmaking.

Although Vixen has never been particularly plot-heavy, this film thins the storytelling a bit more than usual. It’s a solid all-sex feature, but the fans seeking deeper story elements might be better served looking to content from sister-studio Deeper.

I can’t objectively fault this film in any way, but there is some subjective “it factor” that is missing. Scenes are technically beautiful and the sex is hot, but it lacks a certain level of excitement that characterizes great porno.
