Extra's: The best extra, by far, was the inclusion of an 18 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. There was a lot of sex, playing around, and the general mayhem associated with making a movie on a tight schedule. The other extras were pretty weak with a cumshot recap from the scenes, a photogallery, some trailers, and a double sided DVD cover (where the extra side was a collection of DVD covers from PXP).

Audio/Video Quality: Ass Lickers 5 was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Sean Michaels for distribution by Platinum X Pictures. I've complained about some of Sean's past movies with regard to the technical matters whereas other critics (elsewhere mind you) never found fault. Well, thankfully, my persistence paid off in that Sean made some strides this time by providing a picture whose colors were accurate, focus was sharp, and composition of camera angles generally flattering to the gals. It might not have been as well made in this respect as some of his fellow directors at PXP but he's come a long way and I, for one, appreciate it. There were some minor moments of weaker lighting, grain, or editing mishaps but he did a solid job this time overall. I saw no compression artifacts or video noise either so fans of his can rejoice. The stereo audio was a bit less thrilling in that there was no separation between the channels or significant improvement in dynamic range but this is an area that a lot of gonzo directors need to work on so he fit right in with most of them.

Body of Review: There are those who say that director/performer Sean Michaels is one of the rare breed of men that improve with each movie once they settle in at a company. In general, I've watched far too little of his movies to make a rational judgment but he has shown improvement since starting up as a director for Platinum X Pictures. His latest release is Ass Lickers 5, the sequel to Ass Lickers 4, and a movie where each gal sucks a little bit of man ass. If you think it's only fair that a female performer rims her male partner as is standard for him to do to her these days, you'll appreciate the concept. Regardless, the basic theme had little else to do with anal since only a few of the gals seemed willing or able to take care of a large dick in her rectum. This said, here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and each gal did get to taste some rosebud:

Scene One: Holly Wellin, the lean blonde British gal from the front DVD cover, was up first wearing a black & blue corset and thigh high boots. She had some of the most gorgeous blue eyes I've seen in a performer of late and the minimal tease footage of her on the couch alone ended far too quickly for my tastes. She was joined by Sean Michaels and immediately sat down to sucking his penis with the kind of practiced ease you'd find of a very talented gal. I liked how she left streamers all over the place and acted as though there was nothing else in the world to bother her while she addressed his needs, moving on to sucking his balls a little. Scene Three: Lyla Lei, an Asian with a slightly attractive face, and very cute Trinity James, were up next as they engaged in some lesbian sex on the staircase. Trinity did some great ass licking, only to be joined by Sean Michaels who appeared at the top of the stairs for Lyla to blow. The gals switched up positions a bit and the oral became increasingly heated as the gals double teamed his penis but Sean seemed kind of stiff (and I don't mean his cock) as they worked him over. There was some good boning and some of the ass licking advertised as well as Trinity's excellent deep throating. Trinity did the best male ass sucking and also the best anal receiving as he hammered away at her tight ass but each gal took anal fairly well. The energy levels were high throughout the scene and the minor facial got swapped as Lyla licked Trinity clean.

Scene Four: India, a popular black gal with a kicking body if you prefer lean over curvy, was up next as she teased the camera before working with Michael Stefano on a couch. She gave okay head but her strength was riding his cock in her pussy as well as letting him go down on her. She managed to keep a smile throughout the scene but her ass licking was mechanical and appeared to be her least favorite thing in the world to do. In all, he sucked her ass more than she sucked his, pretty much in contradiction to the advertised action. He did get to bone her ass a little bit but it did nothing for me as she seemed ill at ease during the act. It ended when he rubbed out a load onto her pussy but the scene was filler all the way.

Scene Five: Vanilla Skye, something of an up and comer in porn with a nice body and girl next door face as well as a style all her own, teased the camera dressed in a white shirt and plaid skirt before doing Sean Michaels. She could've used some time in the gym to tone up her legs but I thought she was among the most attractive gals of the movie when the POV action started. Her oral was fine and her riding skills in her pussy managed to set themselves apart from the crowd with a little bit of anal to please the extremists. Fans of gaping assholes will appreciate that hers did a nice job as he hammered away at her but she let me down by having him do all the work. I prefer sexually aggressive gals instead of gals that lie down and take whatever comes their way although her oral (including the PTM and ATM) were solid all the way around. She spent very little time licking his ass, to be measured in mere seconds rather than minutes, so fans of salad tossing will be disappointed.

Summary: Ass Lickers 5 was another title worth a rating of Rent It to me due to the way so many of the cast interacted and the limitations of the concept. I've seen a few of these gals really tear up the screen elsewhere and the bottom line with gonzo porn is how much fuck for the buck you get with the ability to stroke to what shows up on screen. Sean is a talented director and I've heard some of his other movies are superior to the ones I've received to review (I prefer to make up my own mind though) so until I get to see some of his top shelf stuff, I'll have to accept that whatever the quality of those other movies is, this one wasn't up to snuff, especially for a company like Platinum X Pictures to distribute.
