Extras: The best extra was a 17:47 minute long Behind the Scenes feature mastered in standard definition (MPEG-2, low bitrate, 480p resolution). It was too dark most of the time and I wondered why it wasn't upgraded as well but the gals got some additional footage as they readied themselves for their scenes so I wasn't going to endlessly complain about it. There was also a photogallery, a cumshot recap, a slipcase, and a true double sided cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Internal Injections (Blu-ray) was presented in a very appealing 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as shot by director Sid Knox for Diabolic using the MPEG-2 codec for the high definition release (the bitrate upgraded and the 1080i resolution enhancing the experience). I was curious as to why the material wasn't encoded in a full MPEG-4 codec and why it wasn't in 1080p but I will freely admit that it did look better than the SD version that came out last year, albeit not as much as it could have. The lighting was not always optimal but it generally limited the grain, video noise, and shadows other productions seem unable to get rid of far too often; the crotches again not as consistently well lit as they should have been. The composition of the shots weren't always completely flattering to the ladies but at least there was rarely any doubt about what was going on and where it was going; given the quality of the cast, this made it more enjoyable too. The fleshtones were generally accurate and the bitrate hovered in the low 16 Mbps area so it did not look bad at all. There were no compression artifacts and the visuals were generally handled pretty well here, except the lighting did tend to be slightly on the weak side at times. The audio was still presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 256 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, only slightly different from the SD version for those who care. The music was generic but the vocals; while plain as could be, could be heard in almost all cases; only slightly hollow at times when the ladies were making it clear their limits were being pushed.

Body of Review: Diabolic is a production company that has served the industry as something of a training ground for top directing talent over the years, their straightforward approach to meeting the needs of the consumer always appreciated compared to the fruity artistic endeavors of some of their peers. Their back catalog is replete with examples of top flight scenes that fans still talk about in awe years later, belying the often generic nature of gonzo thanks to their meat and potatoes approach most of the time. Sid Knox is one of their current directors and while I still think he is learning his own style, I have found some of his past work to be quite interesting, depending on the casting to elevate the scenes more than the technical expertise he brings to the table but certainly on my list of people to check out when possible. His latest title to make it to me is Internal Injections (Blu-ray), the first high definition release of his the company was confident enough to send my way. The theme of the six scenes was to showcase a high end cast getting internal pop shots, catering to fans of the creampie genre so popular among those of us not into seeing a guy jerk off to a lady's face. With names like Amy Ried, Maya Hills, Aubrey Adams, and Harmony (among others), I expected this to be a title I could appreciate all the more due to the upgraded nature of the show. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

I would have preferred a better codec be used to remaster the title and perhaps even more extras given the additional cost of the release but I cannot deny that Sid provided one of his better outings this time to be upgraded. In short, Internal Injections (Blu-ray) was the kind of movie that benefited from having a high definition look to it, the nuances of the picture bringing it to life compared to some of the company's weaker efforts.
