Audio/Video Quality: Gina's Filthy Ho's 5 was presented in a crisp 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as it was originally shot by directors Gina Lynn & Travis Knight for Gina Lynn Productions in the usual 480p resolution using the MPEG-2 codec. The lighting was decent and the fleshtones were almost always accurate with the amount of video noise on the high side. The composition of the shots was such that the ladies were made to look pretty good but with Travis working the camera most of the time, it showed his improved skills. The colors and surroundings were accurate with the lighting plentiful which enhanced the look of the women nicely but it was not the best work to date by the director. There were few compression artifacts (the bitrate was lower than usual, often in the 3.2 Mbps range) or watermarks that I could see, marking this as a step forward for his style to showcase the ladies. The best way to describe this movie is to say that it seemed to be a home movie shot reasonably well if not exactly up to porn standards, the abrupt edits jarring at times and the lighting subpar occasionally but indicative of the mood Travis seemed to be going for. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio tracks in 192 Kbps (using a 48 kHz sampling rate) were okay and I could plainly hear the vocals of the cast at all times but the music still seemed a bit generic to me; an area that I have long fussed about.

Body of Review: Gina Lynn & Travis Knight have been making porn for a long time, cutting back of late as the couple explore a variety of options with how their careers have been evolving of late, only occasionally releasing a title on their Gina Lynn Productions label. The latest release sent my way by the two is called Gina's Filthy Ho's 5, a showcase of relatively new talent with some solo action by Gina Lynn tossed in for fans. I'll admit up front that my big reason for selection the movie was to see whatever material starring Gina would be on the title, the movie advertising this more as a comeback for Travis than anything else. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Summary: Gina's Filthy Ho's 5 by directors Gina Lynn & Travis Knight for Gina Lynn Productions was as uneven as most titles with relatively new performers tend to be so I rated it as a Rent It, Gina's two solo scenes (one as a bonus) saving it from complete obscurity as far as I was concerned but not enough to merit picking up a copy unless you find it very cheap indeed (the technical issues weakening it too much). In short, Gina's Filthy Ho's 5 had a pleasing enough cast learning how to polish up their acts with the help of the directors here but unless you're totally into a few of them, you will be safer checking this one out before dropping hard earned cash, especially given how little of Gina Lynn is featured here, even then only in a couple of solo scenes.
