Diana Devoe is the best underrated director today. She certainly knows how to direct these ladies and get them off. It’s not flawless. There seemed to be a lack of chemistry between some of the performers, there was a technical issue I usually don’t pay attention to but there could’ve been better lighting in use, especially in scene 2, and the scenes did drag. Three scenes with a run time of just over two and a half hours just seemed like to much. More left on the cutting room floor would have improved this title. However, there’s no denying that each lady here really brought their best and kudos again to Loves Kitty for the pairing. Here, as in other Loves Kitty titles, you have girl/girl pairing you wouldn’t see outside of Loves Kitty. Who else would pair up these particular white girls with the pair of dark and lovely lovelies they performed with? It may seem like a mismatch but Loves Kitty shows these mismatches work very nicely. There were plenty of great stroking moments especially scene one. Lily Cade is at her very best here with an amazing career performance. If there’s a performer everyone needs to pay attention to it’s this girl. Plenty of girls can fill in for any girl on the spot but very few if any can command the presence or performance versatility she can. Overall, My Black Hard Candy is a title I Recommend!
