Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.85:1 ratio widescreen as original shot. The picture looked about average except when the director tried using slow motion, artistic styles, and other effects (all too often). The audio track was in stereo (my dvd player showed it as PCM audio) and the vocals were usually completely drowned out by the soundtrack by Digital Underground. The music was not bad for what it was but it wasn't the type of music that goes well with porn. Yuck!

Body of Review: Surfer Pictures is distributed by Hustler and seeks to add a surfer look to it's movies. In a past review, I looked at Club Tropixxx, which was another title in this line. If you like the idea of great locations, the premise is sound but the music track destroyed any heat the movie had for me. Loud, thumping, urban hip hop is not surfer music. In any case, there was no plot or story-just some music dehanced scenes. Here's a breakdown of the scenes:

Scene One: Wendy and Sunrise took care of Rafe on a beach. The scene was shot with slow motion and a mix of arty farty B&W then color. Condoms, oral, and straight sex in what could've been a contender. The soundtrack, a big advertising point on the cover, was by a has been, one hit wonder band of an urban flavor. Too bad that's not the type of music you'd expect from something filmed in Hawaii.

Scene Two: Taylor, another hotty, and Nick get busy in a pool and hot tub. Again, the artistic direction and soundtrack weakened a possibly hot scene. Not terrible but not as good as it should have been.

Scene Three: Sunrise, cute blonde and advertised lead of the movie, took on Joel in a forest. The loud, inappropriate music made me want to turn down the audio track. The mute button never looked so good.

Scene Four: Fujiko, an Asian cutie, took on Rafe at night outside. The sex looked pretty good, although few changes from the formula here, and only real fans of hers will be happy.

Scene Five: Sunrise and Rafe went at it yet again. This encounter was more erotic and the thumping soundtrack not quite as bad. Not bad.

Scene Six: Fujiko and Nick went at it here. This time, she took anal which made it the most extreme scene of a fairly tame movie. Again, not bad (picture anyway).

Summary: Skip this one unless you are wanting to score it yourself. The women looked good and I'm okay with the condoms and usually limited types of sex (almost always oral and straight only) but the special effects and soundtrack killed it. I wanted to like this one but simply couldn't and be honest. Sorry.
