The Movie:

The premise of this one? A quartet of Voodoo Sex Dolls are going to come to life via some sinister black magic (you can tell it's evil from all of the pentagrams on the menu screens!). Once they're alive, they show you all of their dirtiest secrets and abilities – essentially they have semi-rough, semi-kinky sex. Here's how it all plays out…

Chapter 1 – Julia Crow: Julia comes to life and give head to some dark and mysterious dude hanging out in her apartment or something. I'm not really sure how it all gets started, it doesn't make much sense. But what is important is that she gives this guy a blowjob. Once she's done blowing him, he puts on a rubber glove and sticks two fingers into her ass. From there, she hops up on him and rides him reverse cowgirl style. This goes on for a few minutes, and then she switches gears on him and rides him reverse cowgirl style anally. She switches positions again, to standard cowgirl, then to anal missionary, and then she finishes him off with a second blowjob, taking his wad in her face. Julia is a nice looking girl with some obvious love for ass play. That works out well for her, as that's most of what this scene entails. The DVD

Video:

The feature was shot on video but the quality of the image remains pretty stable on this DVD. Colors are well defined and don't bleed into each other as a lot of shot on video productions do. There is some mild edge enhancement and a few darker scenes exhibit some mpeg compression artifacts but these are few and far between for the most part. Overall, Voodoo Sex Dolls has a decent picture.

Sound:

You've got your choice of watching the film in either English, French, German, Spanish or Italian with subtitles available in Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Portuguese, Polish or Greek. Each of the audio tracks is Dolby Digital 2.0. Seeing as my French is really rough and I don't speak any of the other languages, I opted to check out the film in English. Initially, the audio seemed pretty low, but this was easily fixed by turning up the volume a little bit. Once that was done, the mix was fine – the dubbing was obvious in a few scenes but there weren't any problems with clarity. A few scenes were a little bit flat, but for the most part this audio mix took care of business.

Final Thoughts:

Voodoo Sex Dolls is an interesting film. The sex scenes have got some steam, the plot is downright weird, and the cinematography isn't half bad either. Private's DVD looks and sounds good enough, and despite the lack of any really interesting supplements, this one earns a casual 'recommended.'
