Scene 1: 

The first
segment opens with a point-of-view shot by the camera man, who is

According to information displayed on-screen, Ambushed was "shot in true high-definition."  Now, I'm a high-def neophyte and I think I misinterpreted what that message means to the viewer -- perhaps as they intended.  Since I don't have hi-def capability in my home theater, I viewed it on a computer screen (which, as I understand it, is at least comparable in resolution to HD, and certainly higher resolution than my standard TV -- though I realize resolution isn't everything). 
I guessed this was the next best way for me to view the disc.

But in retrospect, I learned this was unnecessary.  The disc does not display the official HD DVD logo; some other design accompanies those letters.  In addition, the disc does play on my conventional player (and looks just fine), though I'm not entirely certain this proves anything. 
These facts lead me to assume it's not a genuine HD DVD disc, and that the "shot in HD" statement is useless to the viewer, and nothing more than a selling point.  After all, video quality is only as good as the weakest link in the hardware chain, and shooting at that quality level wouldn't significantly (if at all, it seems to me) improve the video experience -- which at any rate, is just fine.

Audio:

Audio quality for the overall disc was fine.  I heard nothing I recall which hindered my enjoyment; nor was there anything which disappointed me by its absence.

Extras:

A slide show, selectable from the main menu, depicts action from the scenes and a few shots of the girls.  It's about two minutes long, somewhat random in scene order, and accompanied by a fairly innocuous but unnecessary instrumental track.  It's largely a waste of even two minutes.

There's a bonus scene, called "Sophie's Orgasm," in which a pretty blonde girl (redundant, I just learned... the 'e' on the end of of 'blonde' means female) masturbates on a bed.  See how educational porn (or at least reviews thereof) can be? 

She was fun to watch, well-lit, and accompanied by a pleasant, soft New Age music track. 

I did notice a lot of random--and nearly constant--pixelization of the image, however, when I viewed the scene on my computer.  This was unlike the method used to anonymize the four male guests in the earlier scenes; just unintentional artifacts of the video processing.

The scene looked fine on my DVD player, but I can't jump to blame my computer hardware/software because the problem happened only on this scene.

And I must say they all proved to be competent choices for camera-worthiness, sexual stamina, personality, adventurousness and ease with being watched.  None of them seemed overly intimidated with either the girl's alleged stardom (sorry, but I'd never heard of any of them) or with the situation. 

The girls are each attractive (at times, gorgeous), sexy, natural, and for the most part, fun to watch.  The producers have made an entertaining video which is, at worst, intermittently slow, and at best, pretty different and pretty arousing, especially for viewers who get hot at the thought of sex in (sometimes) public places or with strangers.  It is that element, plus the awareness that both actress and ambushee are living out a fantasy, which makes this exciting.
