Extras: The best extra was an 12.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature starring the cast before, during, and after their scenes. Some had more screen time than others and some of the material was strictly interviews but it was still fun to watch and fans of the ladies (or Seymore) will enjoy it at least as much as his Showtime series thanks to the nudity and extra sex footage). There were also some trailers and numerous commercials as well as a photogallery.

Audio/Video Quality: Seymore Butts' "T" For Tushy was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Seymore Butts for his Home Movies company. While his works have often been technically limited in terms of lighting, grain, and other visual flaws, he wisely focuses less on technical matters to concentrate his efforts on providing the kind of raw energy that far too few pornos have these days. This DVD looked similar to past efforts of his, with some minor lighting and grain issues as much as anything else but it didn't look bad at all. The composition of the scenes varied less than in other recent Seymore movies, making the women look pretty good, if not their very best. While I don't believe the action is unscripted as the movie tries to show, it suggests this makes it all look "real" as in unstaged or as if Seymore mindlessly walks into the scenes but we all know better and that detracts from the otherwise fun sex he offers up. There were no observed compression artifacts so at least the DVD mastering was solid. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English audio track was okay with no separation between the channels and limited dynamic range.

Body of Review: Seymore Butts is perhaps best known these days as the porn guy on the Showtime series Family Business. To those into porn however, he has long been one of the biggest promoters of the gonzo format, following in the footsteps of John Stagliano, Patrick Collins, and a few others that initially popularized the genre. As scores of directors learned to copy Seymore's style and effectively undercut him in many ways, he kept to his own brand of porn that relied on unpolished technical matters and a sense of spontaneity (real or imagined) that many fans appreciated. His latest release is Seymore Butts' "T" For Tushy, a set of four mediocre scenes providing a glimpse into a week in the life of Seymore's house. I like Seymore and have found many of his movies to be a slice of life worthy of dropping your hard earned dough on but this fell far short for me. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Thrusday 11:17 a.m.: Holly Wellin, the brunette on the right hand side of the front DVD cover, was up first as she blew Tom Byron on the couch. Tom's been around the industry for decades and appreciated how thoroughly she slobbed his knob and tossed his salad, rimming him as she jerked him off as part of his wake up call. There was no tease, lead up, or other foreplay to the scene; weakening it for me despite the reported rarity of the "ass lick with two handed whack off" that so impressed Seymore. Seymore claimed to have just found a battery but there was a staged fakeness to the scene (whether true or not) and I have long found complete scenes to be more rewarding than partial scenes, no matter what level of staged spontaneity may be present. The vaginal and PTM gave way to anal with ATM; providing nothing I found appealing other than the manner in which she mechanically bounced on his dick in a lifeless manner. It ended with a facial to her mouth, no swallowing occurring at all.

Scene Three: Three Days Later: Kaci Starr, a relative newcomer to porn, and established veteran Phyllisha Anne, were up next in bed; engaging in a 69 while Brian Pumper masturbated in the chair nearby. I thought the gals were having fun with chunky Kaci on top of skinny Phyllisha providing something visually different. Brian started banging them both in turns, Kaci being passive during the anal. To be fair, I had no issues with the plus size of Kaci and I have long recognized Phyllisha as a gal into her work but there was little chemistry and they came across as performers more than anything else. While this is the case in many porn scenes, it works better when the selling point of a scene is something special (be it looks, skill, or some extra spark that wasn't present here). It ended with Kaci taking the facial and Phyllisha trying to get some sloppy seconds off his dick.

Scene Four: Next Day: Flower Tucci, one of the current reigning anal queens in porn, was up last as she assisted Sinnamon Love ride the cock of Tom Byron in the expansive living room. Sinnamon has a fleshy butt but has never really appealed to me and the scene beginning midway through started to get on my nerves (done once in awhile, it works a lot better than with every scene). Summary: Seymore Butts' "T" For Tushy was best suited for slavering fans of director Seymore Butts than those of us who praise his better works and as a result I rated this as a Skip It. The scenes were simply not passionate, the gals were not at their best (or even their most average), and the technical values were weakened further by the way they were recorded part way through instead of from beginning to end. Sophie was under utilized and Flower has provided far better scenes even in the last few weeks so I just couldn't get into it and found most of the footage to be unstrokable; a far cry from some of Seymore's recent movies that were so much better.
