Audio/Video Quality: Big Ass Fixation 6 was presented in a 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec (like most standard definition titles are, using a 480 resolution). The camera work mixed it up this time with a bit of tease footage taken inside the house, including some quality time of the ladies in skimpy outfits or naked, but much of it out by Tom's pool where the lighting was better too. The video maintained a bitrate of mid 5.4 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts to almost none and each scene provided solid flesh tones that appeared to be accurate as Ivan and Tom worked the cameras. Ivan has long been a director worthy of praise, this time assisting Tom in upgrading the look of the movie in most cases, the composition and lighting appearing to favor the cast. The editing by Tom was generally decent, showing the same level of skill as the last time I checked out one of his movies for review, albeit I wished some additional tease footage was left in the scenes or provided in the extras section of the DVD. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor so I would say it was aurally average in most respects.

Body of Review: Tom Byron has been shooting porn for more years than most of the ladies in the industry have been alive but rather than dwell on his age, it is clear that his work at Tom Byron Pictures has evolved nicely over recent years. One of Tom's fixations that he shows the most promise with centers on his love of female ass, resulting in a show like Big Ass Fixation 6 being shot for his fans. One of the most interesting changes in the series this time was Ivan joining the production team, the talented man serving as videographer, though few would fault the female cast with such hotties as Kristina Rose, Flower Tucci, and Elena Heiress on the marquee. I admit to being a fan of the series and hoped this one would stand out as an enhanced version of what I enjoyed in the past, the results often showing a great deal of promise. Each of the ladies had the kind of curvy ass that aficionados appreciate, making the show a tribute to quality over quantity.
