Extra's: The best extra by far was the 50.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. It had a lot of everything I enjoy watching in a BTS extra (sex, humor, a hot make up gal with exhibitionist tendencies, etc.) and was very well done, adding great value to the DVD. There was also a photogallery, a cumshot recap from the scenes, some trailers, and a double sided DVD cover for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: Anal POV Sluts was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Steve Holmes for Platinum X Pictures. The colors were accurate, the grain minimal and the scenes were shot in the advertised point of view fashion (POV), making this yet another release by PXP that looked good. I didn't see any compression artifacts or video noise and there didn't seem to be any edge enhancement on a friend's high end system (most televisions introduce what appears to be edge enhancement so I double checked the disc on his set up) so the purists out there can rest assured that whatever minimal issues arose, they didn't grab my attention nearly as well as the hotties on display. The stereo audio was basic and had little to speak off other than you could hear the performers in action with limited dynamic range or separation between channels.

Body of Review: Fans of porn have long known that Steve Holmes is one of the meat puppets that actually cares about his coworkers, showing tenderness along with his various sexual escapades at the same time. Now that he directs for Platinum X Pictures, he displays a sense of style much like that of his fellow directors but maintains his gentlemanly ways. His latest release for the company is Anal POV Sluts, a show that featured anal sex shot in a point of view fashion. The gals were generally well suited for the show and the action was really solid during the initial scenes so here's a breakdown of the scenes to give you an idea of what to expect this time:

Scene One: Flower Tucci, the all natural beauty featured on the front DVD cover with the splendid ass, was up first as she teased the camera while swimming in an outdoor pool. I'm moderately acquainted with her work with Seymore Butts but seeing the same old performers' bump uglies together gets old so I was pleased to see her here with Steve Holmes, the so called gentleman of porn. I could rant and rave about Flower's better qualities (never looking better than here) or about a recent event where some idiot thought she had a small ass (who says porn doesn't employ blind people) but none of that truly matters since her playfulness and sexual skill have long been determined to be first class by many, including myself. She gave him oral by the pool and they took the show inside for some vaginal and anal fun (all with taste testing, including lots of ATM). Her energy levels were top notch and there seemed to be a chemistry between them, making the scene a great way to start off the DVD. I hope to see a lot more of this cutie in the future.

Scene Two: Shy Love, a 26 year old woman with long black hair, has long impressed me with her sexual skill and a look that isn't made from the usual cookie cutter mill I associate average porn performers with. I may not like her implants of stretch marks but the expression that comes to mind is "I'd hit it" (and I'd hit it hard at that) because she's not only attractive but seems to like having sex in front of the camera. Her partner, like that of all the others in the movie, was Steve Holmes, and she gave her interview on the couch inside rather than the pool as Flower did. She blew Steve and then he went down on her, setting his camera on the floor to capture the moment. They followed it up with vaginal (and PTM) and anal (with ATM) that she aggressively participated in, making this another fine scene to enjoy repeatedly. Rather than swallow, she jerked off his load to her chest but I liked the ending just fine.

Scene Three: Gia Paloma, another well known performer with considerable skills, laid out by the pool in the buff as she answered some questions by director Steve Holmes. She's another gal not typically considered super beautiful but has a sexual drive in the upper tiers of porn. She sported lighter hair this time (she's a recent convert to being blonde) but lacked none of her usual passion as she played with herself and then Steve outdoors (orally). She then went inside (she had some stretch marks too but fairly light ones) after blowing him and the two engaged in some heated sexual play on a couch. It was oral again (with an amazing rimjob on him by her later on) and him doing her as well before he tore up that pussy and ass of hers. With lots of ATM, she ended it with a swallowing by her. This made three scenes in a row that drove the action home, and Gia was probably the best of the batch by this point (although it'd be a close call against Flower with Gia getting passion points to Flower's beauty). There was some light choking that might scare off the squeamish but nothing to cause a panic about as some would try to do.

Scene Four: Holly Day, a curvy gal with an attractive face and body, looking very much like a young Devinn Lane, was up next as she teased the camera by a window in a short skirt and black top. Steve Holmes seemed to relish working with her as she skipped the interview to give him head beside a couch in the living room, showing a bit of talent if not as much drive as Gia. I've seen this gal in action precious few times so I really don't have any insider information on her but with some experience, she could be great. The oral was less involving than the other gals and the screwing was sometimes mechanical (vaginal or anal) but she did the PTM and ATM fairly well so even if she wasn't the best of the show, her scene was worth watching. It ended when she jerked him off into her mouth and swallowed the load, redeeming herself a little bit in the eyes of some. In all, it was an okay scene but lacking in passion compared to the others here.

Scene Five: Rachel Luv, a lean brunette with an all natural body, skipped an interview in favor of having a virtual montage from the 2005 AEE show on the floor of the show, was up last with director Steve Holmes in and around a bed. She blew him and they did the usual sex tricks but while she had that young gal appeal to her, she really didn't trip my trigger as much as she will for many of you that like them fresh and unspoiled (well, sort of unspoiled). I would've preferred she throw herself into the action with more gusto and perhaps act like he wasn't tearing her up (he's not exactly huge you know) but aside from little replay value, it was okay to watch once. Sexually speaking, the action was similar to the other scenes though so there were few surprises.

Summary: Anal POV Sluts was not trying to compete with Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith in terms of what it presented, nor was it attempting to expand the boundaries of what Mr. Holmes has directed in the past but it did have much of the playfulness that he's known for as well as a solid cast of anal performers, decent technical values and a lot of value given the exception Behind the Scenes feature in the extras section of the DVD. I rated it as Recommended for all those factors and might've bumped it up had the last two scenes been better but it was still well worth looking into for those of you into anal sex done in a POV fashion. In short, Anal POV Sluts was a collection of recently made scenes done in POV fashion that will help you milk out a few dozen loads (or more) due to the strength of the performances by some of the best anal "sluts" of our time.
