Audio/Video Quality: The scenes in this compilation were presented mainly in their original 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, except as noted. For the most part, they looked really grainy, with lots of video noise and lighting issues, and well as color saturation to interfere with the picture quality. The audio was presented in the usual MPEG 2 channel stereo but it was also below par, even for New Machine Publishing. The reason to get this DVD wouldn't be based on technical excellence but to see earlier scenes of Flick Shagwell and company.

Body of Review: Some companies are willing to develop the career of particular performers, taking them and elevating them from the pack as it were while other companies get a lot of gals in scenes and then showcase them after someone else has made them big. Either marketing strategy is valid, you just have to know what you're looking for when checking them out. New Machine Publishing is one of those companies that relies heavily on the output of their two main directors, Ed Powers and Randy West, who have been making porn for decades. Each has a long running series devoted to finding newer talent and capturing it on camera before anyone else. As a result, they are now able to offer compilations of these gals that have made it big in the interim. The latest release by NMP is Flick Shagwell Exposed. The DVD takes parts of three scenes of Flick that were made years ago and add in some filler to flesh out a DVD. Personally, I'd rather just buy the original, unedited, shows but if the price were right, I'm sure fans would like this series if it were polished up a bit. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by the original movie, directors, and cast:

Scene One: More Dirty Debutantes 190: D-Ed Powers: 2001: Flick, in one of her earliest scenes, sported red hair, unlike the blonde look she has working for Private Pictures as a contract star these days. The scene was an edited version from the Ed Powers' series that cut off the interview portion (which would've made a decent extra here) and started off with some oral loving. Ed then started in on banging her in a couple of positions, making funny noises and showing the world that he had a lot more experience than she did here. It ended when he jerked off onto her abdomen with a pretty good-sized load for Ed.

Scene Two: Porn O' Plenty 5: D-Ed Powers: 2001: This scene looked like it was taken from the last scene, with the same bed spread and all. It was presented in widescreen but looked cropped from its original aspect ratio. It was very short in length (no, not Ed) and seemed edited from the original scene so fans beware.

Scene Three: Wet Inc. 1: D-Eli Cross: 2002: Flick, this time with black hair, started in on a bed with Steve, blowing him as though she were happy about it. The two then screwed both vaginally and anally for a while before he showed off her rather large gaping ass. I liked the glass toy she used in the scene and didn't care much for the ATM (ass to mouth) action that was shown but despite the technical limitations, she proved her skill at milking a nut quite readily here. It ended with a minimal facial for those who care.

Scene Four: Up And Cummers 91: D-Randy West: 2001: Lea, way back when she was new to the jizz bizz, started off by blowing the massive Lee while Randy took her from behind. It's hard to put into words how attractive this gal was, and still is, since her blonde hair, perfect body, and beautiful face all combined to make a guy's dream gal. Personally, I think she's gotten better with age but watching her perfect ass bounce up and down was a treat for me and her energy level was great here. She also took anal here from Lee, not something every gal can do so easily, and that added to the pleasure of the scene. It ended with a creampie as she pushed the semen out of her pussy and the little guys ran down her ass.

Scene Five: Up And Cummers 84: D-Randy West: 2000: China, an Asian gal that I'm not familiar with, had a short scene with her husband Jeff on a bed in front of Randy. It was oral and straight sex only but edited from the original scene.

Scene Six: Superboobs: D-Stuart Canterbury: 1994: Lyndon, a busty blond with huge breasts, had a scene on a couch with Tony. She wore a camisole and stockings with garters, something that accentuated her look a lot. IIRC, the movie was most notable for being one of Asia Carrera's first movies but fans of large breasts (this was before Asia's implants), will appreciate the gazongas on Lyndon. The sex was oral and straight only, ending in a facial.

Summary: I hate edited scenes and the duplication of the second scene was bothersome so I can't rate this as anything other than a Skip It; especially since the technical values were so low and the extras so weak. I wanted to like it but the overall package was not the best in the series by a long shot.
