Extras: The best extra was the 27:11 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. It was mostly devoted to interviews and minor clips of the gals getting ready but fans of the ladies will appreciate it all the same. The bonus scene on the SD release of the movie was gone to insure that the mastering rate would be higher but I missed it more than usual as well. There was a photogallery and a true double sided DVD cover topping the extras off for those that care, the BTS and photogallery presented in high definition.

Audio/Video Quality: Naughty College School Girls 45 (Blu-Ray) was presented in widescreen color with an aspect ratio of about 1.78:1 as shot by director Greg Lansky for New Sensations using the AVC codec for the Blu-Ray version (my TV showing the material was in 1080i but as discussed elsewhere, that doesn't mean it didn't look just fine in terms of the mastering). Like earlier volumes in the series, Greg provided lighting to eliminate the grain, video noise, and other things that bother picky fans like myself; the greater amount of attention given here to the chemistry between the ladies from what I could discern. The camera angles were a bit mixed in terms of making the ladies look their best but the editing covered many of the minor issues and the shaky camera did not get in the way too much. The bitrate of the show seemed to hover around the mid 18 Mbps area but I did not see any compression artifacts at all. The picture generally looked decent overall with some shadows getting in the way in a couple scenes more than others but it seemed competently handled. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 224 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, the vocals tending to be minimal once the sex started as did the music but the lack of separation and limited dynamic range were about what I expected of the aural characteristics of the movie. On a side note, the vocals seemed to be lower than the opening music (substantially lower at that) so be prepared to adjust them once you've started the movie if you care to hear what is said in the scenes, but as the ladies heated up, they got louder too.

Body of Review: Greg Lansky has directed a number of fuck flicks for New Sensations in the last few years, evolving as he became better equipped to provide the kind of porn fans were demanding. He tends to stick with youth titles, many starring the flavor of the month types, but I'm also told he has been diversifying his portfolio so I look forward to seeing what the buzz is all about. His latest Blu-Ray title to come to me was Naughty College School Girls 45 (Blu-Ray), previously reviewed by Robin LaCruz last year. Having seen a few of the series in the past myself, I knew that this being one of the first high definition titles coming from the company means it must have a lot of potential per the executives working them, not hurting in the slightest that Jenny Hendrix was headlining and plastered on the cover alone. The back cover said it like this about the show: "Director Greg Lansky has got a new batch of freaky teens that will have you blowing your load all over your books and pencils. You've got to watch these teen queens get nasty and freaky like they've never done before. Dakoda Brooks, Evie Delatosso, Kendra Devons, Jenny Hendrix, and Anna Lee take it to a new level when we give them the chance to fuck or get fucked by some rock hard bone cocks. Catholic School Girls Gone Bad? I think so!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

The technical issues could have been polished up and a couple of the ladies might have been better placed in another movie but Greg did a solid job with what he had to work with and I think high definition served this one really well. In short, Naughty College School Girls 45 (Blu-Ray) was a decent early effort for the company to expand into the fledgling format with a nod to consumer confidence, I just wish that better extras were included to really push the envelope better than most of their competitors (as when they nearly ruled the roost during the transition from VHS to DVD).
