Extras: The best extra was the 16:33 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by the director that included some additional nudity, the cast screwing around, and the usual hijinks expected from a porn set. There were also a handful of trailers (including one for Deviance from another company), a photogallery, a popshot compilation from the scenes, spam, and a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Evalutionary was presented in a crisp 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as released by director William H. Nutsack for Elegant Angel using the AVC codec with 1080p resolution for the high definition release. The camera work was solid with plentiful lighting to eliminate grain, video noise and shadows and the picture appeared to be crisp this time; pretty much what I expect from the talented director. Nutsack seemed to try a few new angles here or at least have them edited to look as such, and the result should be particularly pleasing if this one is released in high definition in the future. The editing by Robert Laplanc seemed to be decent too, enhancing the look of the rough material shot for the scenes using a single camera, polishing it up for those like me that care. I saw no compression artifacts (the video bitrate hovering around the 12.4 Mbps mark) and the composition of the camera angles strongly favored the female performers as most of his work these days tends to do. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English track was pretty basic with little separation or dynamic range yet I could hear the cast well enough in most cases. For those keeping track, the audio was offered in an upgraded 256 Kbps offering with a 48 kHz sampling rate, plenty of room considering how little took place on it but leaving room for future efforts too, the music again attributed to various groups from My Beat Shop.

Body of Review: Eva Angelina is one of my very favorite performers in porn, her best showcases of talent to date being Eva-lution and E For Eva. Well, they set the stage for her to shine once again on the comeback tour thanks to talented William H. Nutsack and his work at Elegant Angel in the form of Evalutionary (Blu-ray). Eva performs anal, interracial, and a D.P. in a relentlessly passionate and fun 3 hour movie, featuring a visual feast of colorful settings, beautiful teases, and memorable sex scenes." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

It was clear to me that Evalutionary was as solid a tribute to lovely Eva Angelina as either Eva-lution or E For Eva had been, making this a perfect trifecta for those of you following her varied sexual exploits. The clarity of vision alone should impress the raincoater crowd enough to pick up a copy though, her stunning curves put to the test (and Eva passing with flying colors) for all the world to see. The high definition treatment that makes so many in porn look worse seems to have enhanced Eva's appeal here even more so while I may be a big fan of the young lady, I recognize how she relies on a great many things to draw in the fans with looks only part of the equation (this upgrade showing her in all her glory). Great work!
