The Movie:

This is kind of a unique one from Ninn Worx. Katsumi stars in what is being billed as live action anime hardcore, and while it's not animated and therefore not really anime, it does work some interesting costume and themes from Japanese animation into the live action sex scenes contained on the DVD. Directed with an abundance of style by Michael Ninn, it follows a formula in that in most of the scenes the girl warms herself up solo and always in a costume that looks like it could have come out of some anime or manga, before the main course as Katsumi appears in some book end scenes drifting in and out of sleep.
Here's how it all works out…

Chapter 1 – Katsumi: She starts the scene off solo and then a man enters the room. After she's played with herself she can't help but take him, and that's exactly what she does. Clad in long black leather boots she looks great with a big black wig on, and her man, clad in black angel wings, seems to appreciate her for it once she gets him warmed up. This shot on digital video production looks pretty clean. There is some mild edge enhancement in a couple of spots but otherwise and a little bit of mpeg compression evident in some of the darker colors and the blacks. The fullframe picture is strong and colorful for the most part, but there are a handful of moments in a couple of scenes that look just a little bit too dark.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient. There isn't any dialogue really, just moans and groans. The soundtrack plays a very important role in this production and the DVD does a fine job of reproducing the musical cues quite nicely.</

Extras:

Once you figure out how to navigate the frustratingly slow menus, you'll be able to access the bonus features on this disc. In addition to a still gallery featuring shots of the performers in action, Ninn Worx has also supplied a behind the scenes featurette. This look at the making of the movie runs for about sixteen and a half minutes and it features some candid footage of the girls and guys who appear on camera enjoying their time on set. There are some brief interviews and sound bites that play over top of the footage, and it makes for an interesting look at the making of this very unique porno film.

Rounding out the extra features is a bonus scene that runs just a hair under three minutes in which Katsumi, with her hair tied back in a tight bun and in a black evening gown, takes of her clothes and masturbates in front of the camera.

Final Thoughts:

Ninn's got a great eye for interesting camera angles, wild sets, and great costumes. Katsumi's got the right look and ample fucking skills to maximize Ninn's outlook on sex, and as such, Pussy Kat turned out to be a very unique sex film with a lot of creativity, interesting themes and ideas, and hot steamy sex. The disc looks and sounds quite good and comes complete with a few interesting bonus features. Highly Recommended.
