Extra's: The best extra for most consumers will be the bonus scene between Cytherea, Mick Blue and Chris Charming from Erotica XXX #6. She was playful, had a lot of energy here, and while she didn't do anal or a DP, she seemed to be in control of her own pleasure enough that fans will find the scene smoking hot for pretty much the entire 25.5 minute length. I also liked watching the 13.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Brother Love since it gave the gals a chance to shine as they posed for the still photography (at this point in time, it was handled by Johnni Darko, who has since left for greener pastures). The other extras were the standard set of trailers, a photogallery, some company info and a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Erotica XXX 8 was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that it was originally shot in by director Tyrone Shuz for Digital Sin. The lighting was decent but the colors somewhat muted here, perhaps on purpose, with little of the usual grain Tyrone's works are frequently known for. The composition of the shots was almost always complimentary to the female performers although I would've preferred seeing fewer close-up shots since they exclude too much information for me. The shadows could've been kept back a bit and the camera movement managed better but the editing seemed to handle most of the bigger issues well. I saw no compression artifacts or video noise but it wasn't the best picture I've seen from the fine folks at Digital Sin. The stereo English audio track was basic in most ways with little separation and limited dynamic range but for this type of show, they worked well enough. I could hear just about everything the performers said and little of the director's ramblings, helping make the show pleasing in an auditory manner too.

Body of Review: Few companies have seen highs and lows like Digital Sin. Part of this is due to the changing nature of porn and part is due to the manner in which they lose directors far too often but in general, I've found their works to almost always have some redeeming qualities, regardless of what other critics say. Based on my experience with the company in the past, I picked up an older title last week, Erotica XXX 8, a series of vignettes where gals follow a basic formula in their scenes. With little out of the ordinary, this is actually a bold move; some would say catering to a generic crowd but I say it's an effort to keep the product simple in order to allow fans to stroke off without artistic silliness to get in the way of their pleasure. That said, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used here:

Scene One: Foxy Lady, the hot brunette on the front DVD cover, was up first as she established the formula of the scenes with her tease footage (with a far too short showering sequence) and stripping before walking in on David Perry and Ben English to get her fun. She blew them with a lot of gusto that made me forget about her implants as she slobbered all over them; using her hands to generate extra friction as she took turns with them. Keeping a smile the entire time, she took them in her pussy one at a time in several positions. She didn't do anal or a DP but I really didn't care much since she looked so good at what she did. It ended with the guys popping loads on her face as she got to her knees, completing a very passionate scene.

Scene Two: Tory Freeland, another brunette with slightly different features than Foxy (like no scars underneath her breasts) but no less attractive, was up next as she teased the camera in front of a full body mirror. I liked looking at her round, firm ass a lot and so did her two partners for the scene; Zenza Raggi and Chris Charming. They took turns probing her mouth and playing with her body but my biggest complaint was that she seemed too self aware of the camera, continually looking at it during the scene. She also seemed less playful and energetic than Foxy even if her implants were very similar in size. As the scene progressed, she became increasingly vocal about the acts she was engaging in, adding some measure of heat but not enough to warrant a rating like Foxy received. She also stuck to the basics of oral and vaginal sex but I think with some training and experience, she could really be a great performer. The scene ended as expected with the guys popping off on her face but she seemed unhappy with this act so your mileage will vary here too.

Scene Three: Dillan Lauren, a gal with dark hair, stripper shoes, and a black see through top with matching panties, was up next as she jilled herself on the couch awaiting her two studly partners, Marco Duato and Ben English, to arrive and chase her boredom away. Her breasts were nice as they were appeared to be naturally large and the manner in which the guys throat fucker her made me wonder if she could take on some of the really large studs in the jizz biz but these two were no slouches either. Her oral was playful and energetic but she lacked any significant chemistry with them, preferring instead to focus on milking their nuts as though getting them off quicker would yield a bonus. She was the first gal in the movie to break the anal barrier, going so far as to do a DP (double penetration) with them as she easily handled their cocks. I thought the light sheen of sweat covering her made her look more natural than many performers in porn that routinely appear as though they were dried off between positions and her scene was probably the best to this point in the movie in a couple of ways. The guys dumped loads on her face at the end and she seemed to enjoy it so whatever limitations she had were overcome (so to speak) by the manner in which she acted then.

Scene Four: Violet Blue, long a staple in porn and looking far better than she did in her first few years making movies, wore a black negligee that showcased her body better than any of the outfits worn by the previous gals of the movie. Her practiced ease during the tease footage was sadly interrupted by Mr. Pete and Ben English (I could've watched her go at it alone for several more minutes) but her all natural look worked well for me this time too. She took turns blowing them like the seasoned oral champion she has always been recognized as and she was another that took anal as well as vaginal sex, including a DPP (double pussy penetration). Her moves were different than Dillan's in several ways so while I wish I could say which was more appealing, I'd be splitting hairs in an unfair manner no matter which route I took. This was one of her better scenes of late and the pop shot to the chest worked more for me than those of you who somehow feel obligated to see a facial (I've never understood giving a facial unless a gal pissed me off somehow). Whew!

Scene Five: Jamie Brooks, one of the better blondes in the jizz biz at this writing, was up last in a scene that skipped the tease footage (for some stupid reason I'll bet: I love tease footage!) and went right to her blowing Marco Duato while Mr. Pete boned her from behind. Her lingerie was more traditional than the others, including the stripper shoes, silk stockings and garters, with a bra to hold her tig old bitties. I prefer natural breasts but she never really gave me a chance to worry about them as she kept going like the sexual dynamo that she is. Her dirty talk, the spanking, and variety of positions helped keep the action fresh with her doing everything she could, including a DP with plenty of taste testing, to get herself and the guys off. The chemistry levels were higher here than any of the other scenes and the energy levels were competitive with most of the top scenes, making it a winner in most ways, if not her best scene to date (done elsewhere). The guys finished by giving her a couple of facials that included an eye shot and swallowing but it ended before she finished with them.

Summary: Erotica XXX 8 was not the best the company has to offer but the attractive cast, the decent extras, and the often heated performances all contributed enough fuck for the buck to warrant a rating of Recommended. Fans of the performers may want to adjust this rating in an upward fashion and you can consider each of the gals attractive enough that I'd lick the sweat off their body but the only thing holding this one back from a higher rating was the sometimes generic manner in which the gals did their acts. In short, Erotica XXX #8 had a lot to like and managed to appear as fresh to me as it probably did to the performers themselves with only a minor tuning needed for greatness.
