Barely Legal - Little Darlings looks good in this 1080p AVC 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer save for the fact that much of it looks very hot and over lit, which reduces detail in some shots. There aren't any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction looks okay even if and skin tones are way too orange. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot just a hint of shimmer here and there but you do have to be looking for it to notice it. If this weren't so hot looking, it's be a good transfer but yeah, it's problematic in that so much of the detail just disappears under the light and the girls all look like they fell asleep in the tanning bed.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this Blu-ray release is a 48 kHz 448 kbps Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo Surround Sound mix in English. The audio on this release is fine but it isn't as impressive as the transfer is. Dialogue stays clean and clear throughout and the levels are all properly balanced. The score sounds good and there aren't any problems with background hiss or distortion at all. The audio here won't blow you away but it certainly won't disappoint you either.

Extras:

The only really substantial extra on this release is a Behind The Scenes (19:22) featurette. It's pretty much just a general assemblage of random 'fly on the wall' moments with some light interview bits thrown in here and there, though if you have the patience or inclination to sit through it you'll find a couple of amusing moments. It's presented in HD, which is a nice touch, and it does give each of the girls involved in this release chance to talk to the camera about their interests and about their careers and if nothing else it reconfirms that Emma Heart is just about the cutest thing going. Aside from that, there's also a quick, five minute documentary that gives a very brief history of the infamous Barely Legal series of movies.

Motion menus, trailers, a still gallery, contact info, and scene selection round out the supplements on this release. All of the extras are presented in standard definition.

Final Thoughts:

Hustler's Blu-ray debut of Barely Legal - Little Darlings is a good thing if you're into petite types and pigtails. The rock so-so transfer is compensated by five steamy sex scenes that do deliver exactly what you'd want out of a release of this type. It's all shot with style and with a nice sense of free spirited fun. Recommended, if you don't mind orange looking girls.
