The Movie:

The ninth in Hustler's Barley Legal spin-off series, Innocence #9 purports to bring us, well, innocent looking girls doing dirty, dirty things. That said, the pierced nipples so prominently displayed by Ms. Mackenzie Star might betray the whole 'innocence' angle that the line is going for. Not that I don't appreciate a look at the goods, but it's something to think about, right? At any rate, innocent or not, those pierced nipples are looking pretty good, as are the other five pairs that pop up throughout the five unconnected and unrelated scenes that make up this release.

Directed by Will Ryder, it's a pretty decent collection of some popular up and coming performers, Emma Heart being a personal favorite. Let's take a look at who fucks who and who they do it:

Scene 1 - Emma Heart: After Emma, sporting blonde hair here, struts around a bit, her man dives straight to her ample bosom and sucks those tits. Both parties sufficiently ready for love, he goes down on her slips a couple of digits into her twat to get her primed. Video:

Barely Legal - Innocence 9 looks good in this 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer save for the fact that some of it appears to have been shot with some intentional softness in mind. This reduces detail in some shots. There aren't any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction looks quite natural. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot just a hint of shimmer here and there but you do have to be looking for it to notice it. All in all, this disc offers up a pretty decent transfer.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this DVD release is a Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo Surround Sound mix in English. Dialogue stays clean and clear throughout and the levels are all properly balanced. The score sounds good and there aren't any problems with background hiss or distortion at all. The audio here won't blow you away but it certainly won't disappoint you either.

Extras:

The only really substantial extra on this release is a Behind The Scenes (16:44) featurette. It's pretty much just a general assemblage of random 'fly on the wall' moments with some light interview bits thrown in here and there, though if you have the patience or inclination to sit through it you'll find a couple of amusing moments. The Barley Legal: How It All Began (5:00) featurette that Hustler has been tossing onto discs in this line for the better part of a year now is also included.

Motion menus, trailers, a still gallery, contact info, and scene selection round out the supplements on this release. All of the extras are presented in standard definition.

Final Thoughts:

While the whole 'innocence' aspect is really underplayed here, the sex is solid in all five scenes and Will Ryder has done a fine job putting together a sexy, sultry package featuring six naturally beautiful young women who are definitely in to what they do. The extras aren't all that exciting but the audio and video quality is alright, making Barely Legal: Innocence #9 recommended for fans of Hustler's longest running line of videos.
