Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in its original 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, The film had its fair share of scratches and other defects but looked pretty good for a movie made on such a low budget, so long ago. The lighting was as poor as ever on this one and the grain noticeable, but at least there weren't a lot of compression artifacts. The audio sounded like monaural with no separation between the channels and a hollowness to the vocals with the typical cheesy music of the times in the background.

Body of Review: Fans of porn's golden years will remember the multitude of movies featuring their favorite stars in a time when anal wasn't common, extreme sex meant something far different, and the average porn movie was still shot on 35 mm film instead of videotape. The early to mid 1980's was a time of transition from the higher budgets of film to the cut rate (and cut throat) practices that led to the glut in the porn market still with us today, years later. One of the stars of yesteryear was Vanessa Del Rio, a curvy gal with an aptitude for sexual hijinx that would satiate any man alive. One of her releases, Dynamic Vices was a movie about a couple of vice cops played by Nina Hartley and Alexis Greco, trying to shut down a notorious Madame, played by Vanessa. The story was light on plot and sex too but for those who enjoy the good old days, read the following breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: This was a short scene with Paul getting a blowjob by a blonde, Nikki. She did a great job of it, savoring the taste and texture like it were candy, and I wish I knew her name to properly credit her performance.

Scene Two: Barbara, a curvy vixen back in the day, dominated Francois on a stage surrounded by horny women. She stripped him, blew him and then made him eat her out before climbing aboard his penis for a short ride. Like most scenes back then, it was too short and he ended by jerking off onto her chest.

Scene Three: Nina, back when she was new in the business, had a lesbian scene on a car at night with Alexis. All it really amounted to was Nina going down on her friend and that made the scene a throw away in my book.

Scene Four: Nina and Alexis, to make up for the last scene, decided to take care of Jerry in an interrogation room at police headquarters. They stripped down as he was handcuffed and play with him to get him to talk. Most of the sex was oral between the performers but Jerry did get a bit of pussy from Alexis before jerking off onto her body. Again, it was a limited scene by today's standards and not much to write about.

Scene Five: Kelly, another dominant brunette, took care of Shone and Jon at the sex club. She made them eat her out and otherwise attend to her needs before going down on them while they took turns boning her. She took anal, not a common occurrence back then, and a DP but the camera angles left a lot to be desired in terms of "did she do it or not?"

Scene Six: Nina and Alexis, still playing vice cops, took care of their Lt, Billy, in his office. The sex was again limited with the gals licking one another while he boned (mostly Alexis) and the gals double-teamed him orally.

Scene Seven: Nina, Alexis and Kelly had a lesbian scene at the club together. Kelly used a strap on dildo while the other two did a 69 position and they switched around a few times until it ended with Kelly getting eaten out by both of them.

Scene Eight: Vanessa, the curvy Porto Rican lead of the movie (even though she only had a single scene), took care of Billy in her office. She stripped and blew him before he started banging her in a couple of positions on a couch. It was over too soon and so was the movie.

Summary: I applaud VCA for doing such a good job on the DVD transfer and appreciate that they haven't just locked all their back catalog in their vaults, even though the appeal of such releases is naturally limited. I can't really suggest this one as anything higher than a Rent It and even then only to fans of the cast and older movies in general, but the title did bring back some old memories. The sex and cast was varied in terms of heat and chemistry but there was something worth checking out too.
