Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that has been the industry standard for years. It looked its age and the lighting was one of the weakest aspects of the whole show. The grain and video noise rose a lot when the lighting wasn't proper and the heat diminished because of it. The pattern noise and other visual flaws such as color saturation didn't help either. The audio was presented in MPEG format stereo but was usually hollow and not particularly well done. I'd prefer Dolby Digital and some proper microphone placement in future efforts, although I acknowledge that the majority of movies made back in the 1990's were also flawed.

Body of Review: Recently, I reviewed Decadent Divas 22 from the capable hands of David Christopher. While I wasn't knocked out by the quality, I have always liked lesbian sex with attractive gals wearing kinky outfits. In his early days, the director was still learning his craft and now that Legend is releasing their back catalog, titles such as Decadent Divas 3 are coming out in droves. For me, the best thing about the title was the early scene with Bridgette (as well as Samantha's scene) but fans of the cast will appreciate the action too. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast, noting that the action was similar in each scene:

Scene One: Sana, wearing a tight corset, dominated both Bridgette and Chandler in a living room. Bridgette looked fresh here in her vinyl fetish outfit, something many of her critics point out she hasn't looked in a long, long time (much to Skeeter's chagrin). The sex was a bit kinky compared to other lesbian features like Hustler's Girl + Girl series but it still consisted of mostly oral with some toy usage.

Scene Two: Cherry, a gal with delicious curves, and Monique, one of the only gals in the movie to not be placed on the front DVD cover, had a scene on a large bed. Fans of lesbian interracial will note that these two were good together but the poor lighting sucked out any heat they shared. They did a lot of oral too, including rimming (a standard feature in this series over the years) as well as foot fetish action and toys. It wasn't bad other than the lighting.

Scene Three: Samantha, in her first adult role, had sex with Nina and Nikola on a couch. All of them wore fetish outfits that enhanced their bodies but the sex seemed too mechanical with no real passion. This is something that Mr. Christopher has really improved on over the years since this was made and if it lacked in terms of heat, it was kind of fun to watch Samantha in her first role. As always, lots of oral action and toys comprised the majority of fun here.

Scene Four: Sonja, a redhead that always seemed to like lesbian sex more than the real deal, had a scene that started with Cassandra on a staircase and moved to the floor afterwards. This scene was an oral-only scene with fingers to augment the action but not as much fun as it could have been if the gals really let loose.

Summary: Okay, this is a tough one to rate because the technical values bothered me a bunch. I liked a couple of scenes but acknowledge that their replay value was limited due to the lighting issues so I'm going to lowball this one a bit and rate it as Skip It unless you are really, really, into the cast and lesbian scenes. I could see releasing this one as part of a value package (several of the titles together for a really low cost) but as a standalone, most should pass it up.
