Extras: The best extra by far was the 25:08 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Axel and Sancho (Jimmy D. often heard in the background). The ladies were wisely made the focal point of the extra and they all showed their breasts (even the make up gal; scars and all). The audio was far too low for my tastes but it was worth a look for those of you just picking it up as a rental (be forewarned though, it cut out early and not all the ladies were given much time). There were also some trailers and a photogallery but that was it.

Audio/Video Quality: Kink was presented in an anamorphic widescreen color with an aspect ratio of about 1.78:1 as shot by director Axel Braun for release by Teravision using the MPEG-2 codec. Each scene employed more of an artistic bend to it than some of Axel's works at other companies, the guy playing with the lighting but still limiting the grain, video noise, and compression artifacts. The composition of the camera angles was largely handled really well with Axel sharing camera duties with the infamous Jimmy D: both men known for stylish methods of photography that set out to do something more visually appealing than many of their peers. The bitrate itself was often in the mid 4 Mbps end this time, helping make the production decent looking if not fully realizing the entire disc as well as could be expected. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English using the 192 Kbps bitrate expected of the movie. There was no separation of the vocals but the artistic music was the primary aural experience here with a great deal of attention paid to it, showing that post production work can elevate the quality of a movie.

Body of Review: Axel Braun always appears to be at his most artistic when not having to cater to companies that stifle his creative leanings so it makes sense that his work for Teravision has been so well received by consumers wanting stroke material significantly different than the usual gonzo so popular these days. Eschewing flood lighting and the generic grunts & groans of his peers, Axel tries to weave a tapestry that combines the power of interesting music, camera angles that flatter the ladies, and an editing style best described as "interesting". His latest release is called Kink, a series of five erotic vignettes that were advertised as being fetish driven though I've seen a lot of porn described that way and it tends to come from other countries. I was interested in seeing what Axel had to offer considering his cast included some very physically attractive gals, the results being somewhat mixed but I'll get into that in a moment. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Faye Reagan, a heavily freckled redhead reportedly out of the industry at this writing, was up first as she smoked her cancer stick in slow motion while looking out the window. Dane Cross came up behind her and started pawing her in her underwear, the heavy droning of the music stopping for her to slob his knob; Dane dick-slapping her a few times before drilling her pussy. Summary: Kink by director Axel Braun for Teravision billed itself as kinky, perverted, and a tribute to fetish but the best thing I could say about it was it should suit those of you interested in exploring a variety of sexual practices with a fetish-lite nod. Otherwise, the cinematography, the music, and the casting warranted a rating of Rent It for the general porn loving crowd; not living up to Axel's past efforts but still serving enough material of stroke worthy nature to merit giving it a chance. In short, Kink was not really kinky but could be a gateway release for those of you wanting to explore something outside of purely vanilla efforts.
