Extra's: My favorite extra was the 43 minute long Behind the Scenes that started out with Dani Woodard busting the cameraman's balls. There was a lot of sex footage this time so fans will enjoy it as much as the movie itself. There were also 10 minutes of interviews that provided some entertainment, a photogallery, cast bios, trailers, a double sided DVD cover, and spam but no bonus scene as advertised on the back DVD cover (outside of the behind the scenes footage at least).

Audio/Video Quality: Shane's World 36: Snow Trip was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by some unknown director. I thought the colors were accurate, the grain minimal in most scenes, and the overall visual quality of the movie an improvement over some of the last volumes in the series. The composition of the shots seemed to work well for the majority of the cast in the scenes, another step up from earlier volumes. The audio was presented in stereo but I didn't notice a lot of separation between the channels (the center channel provided pretty much all of the sound) and the dynamic range was about average for the series. The technical values in general were decent but a bit more work might help them even more in the future.

Body of Review: One of the best series in porn these days is Shane's World for the simple fact that it showcases a cast willing to enjoy one another in a traveling caravan that goes on vacation every volume. While Shane hasn't directed the series in a long time, the basic formula is a proven winner and the latest volume I received to review was Shane's World 36: Snow Trip, where the cast when to a snow filled wonderland to show what makes them tick. If you like watching gals get drunk (and high) and stupid, this will be the best volume of the series for you but the sex was also very heated in most cases so you have to balance out the overall affair in terms of what you'd like to see. In some ways, that made this volume more varied than Volume 33 but if you enjoy reality television, this one came off as more drama filled than I expected, and well worth my time. Here's a quick look at the scenes, noting that no real formula existed so there appeared to be a higher level of spontaneity than you'll find in porn.

Scene One: Penny Flame, the leader of the pack sexually this volume, her roommate Riley Brooks, and Scott Nails, were up first on a couch before leaving on the trip. Penny is the gal on the upper right hand side of the front DVD cover, Riley was a cute and lean teenager, and Scott is a guy that looks like a younger version of Richard Simmons (the effeminate workout guru). The sex was oral and straight with some lesbian overtones that left me thinking they had some chemistry together to improve their energy levels. It was a nice way to start the movie.

Scene Two: Penny Flame, after acting like a prima donna in front of the crowd in the large room, practically raped Kris Knight in front of the other gals in her drunken stupor. After slobbing his knob with the trained efficiency of a porn performer, she led him up stairs to do some boning in bed after more oral. Even though she was obnoxious as a drunk, she provided a lot of fun sex here and aggressively participated in the scene, unlike too many performers these days that simply lie back and let the guy do all the work. There was a good amount of energy and even some chemistry here, again proving her skill at milking a nut.

Scene Three: Kelly Kline, one of the most attractive gals in porn (although a bit catty when woken up by a camera in the morning), was sadly not featured on the front DVD cover but that oversight didn't harm her scene with studly Jerry in the bedroom. They engaged in some heated foreplay and she blew him like there'd be no tomorrow in a near POV style shot before screwing hard and wet. This was one of her best scenes in terms of energy, if not chemistry, and it ended with the usual pop shot by the lucky bastard. Fans of vocal gals in scenes will love her throaty moans to hit her wet pussy as much as I did.

Scene Four: The next scene had some general lesbian frolicking by the gals but most of the action was by Dani Woodard and Penny Flame as the two appeared drunk while doing one another in front of their friends. It was more natural than your average porn scene, including a lot of action while clothed, and Lucy Lee joined towards the end. It was another fun scene.

Scene Five: Lucy Lee, the Asian gal on the upper middle of the front DVD cover, crudely called for volunteers to allow her to jerk them off to a happy ending in the back room of a club on the couch. Her first victim was Steve Bird and she allowed him to feel her up as she went to work. He popped a good load but looked like he was wasted out of his mind which lowered the heat for me. The next part of this scene was when Brett from Houston, TX (Yay home team!) got some play from Kelly Kline, but again, it was only a handjob. I actually liked the scene since it was off the beaten track (pun intended), much like some comedy series using solo scenes for a change of pace.

Scene Six: Destiny St. Claire, a tiny brunette cutie with an impossibly lean body, was up next in a filler scene with Trent Tesoro, on an overstuffed chair. By filler, I mean that they didn't appear to be part of the team on vacation and it looked added in at the last minute. On a positive note, the duo seemed to have a lot of fun as they energetically did one another from the sweet blowjob to the pounding vaginal sex. It ended with a pop shot to her lovely mouth and managed to make me hard.

Scene Seven: Dani Woodard, acting as a cock blocker to Penny Flame, took Penny's partner, Jerry, for a little spin on a couch in a ski shop. Dani looked like she was ready to jump everyone in the shop since she was so turned on and the two were definitely lost in the moment as they sucked and fucked with abandon. I thought they showed more chemistry than any of the other couplings in the movie here and the energy wasn't bad either.

Scene Eight: Lucy Lee, finally in a scene to call her own, did Kris Knight on the ski slope in full view. It was a good tryst that included oral and straight sex before the facial pop shot but it ended too soon (and they were kicked off the mountain because of it). The show then digressed into a bitch fest where the gals turned on one another, with Lucy going over the top after they pissed her off in the minivan.

Summary: Shane's World 36: Snow Trip was reality television with a twist. The sex was fun, the cast hyper charged to fuck and suck and the unpredictability of the action (be it real or staged as some would suggest) made it worth a rating of Highly Recommended since I've seen just about everything under the sun and this type of fun is superior, even with the silly personal issues the drama mamas had. In short, Shane's World 36: Snow Trip had a lot of heated fun and chemistry between the performers, and like the rest of the series, will appeal to those of us with a younger headset (old fogies need not apply).
