Audio/Video Quality: James Deen’s 7 Sins: Wrath was presented in anamorphic widescreen as directed by James Deen for Evil Angel. The Director of Photography was Johnathan Taylor Thomas, the editor listed as Mrs. Myers, both areas showing a lot of artistic touches from what I experienced. Those who like a lot of lighting and clearly defined sexual scenes will find this movie to be cut from a different cloth, my screen captures perhaps helping you see that this isn’t the same kind of porn most of us are used to watching over the last 30+ years. The action all took place in a single room of what looked like a refrigerated warehouse, the industrial look adding to the starkness of the flick. There was a company watermark on the lower right corner of the picture but it was unobtrusive to me, the other issues bothering me much more. The aural components were on the basic side too, the limited vocals (moans) a bit too low in most of the scenes because they emphasized the score by Danny Wylde, the music used to set the mood to suit the nature of the flick.

Body of Review: James Deen was well known even before directing for Evil Angel, his movies definitely showing he is willing to try new things. His latest title for the company is called James Deen’s 7 Sins: Wrath, the movie just coming out and the last of the series, this one reportedly going over the top in terms of going artistic from what I’ve heard. That caveat aside, I’ve come this far in documenting James’ attempts at something different, the wildly erratic qualities of the series admittedly looking more like they were made by trial and error than by careful planning even if the director hit a few nails on the head along the way. With a cast of ladies including Carmen Caliente and Dani Daniels, I freely admit that I was ready for just about anything, both these ladies and their many peers in the show warranting some attention. Like most of the director’s experimental flicks in the series, this single scene tryst shot with what appeared to be a stationary camera most of the time, a long shot showing the context of James with the ladies using few close up shots.

The company described the movie like this: ““James Deen’s 7 Sins: WRATH” climaxes the director/stud’s artistic, conceptual series. In a stark, empty room, menacing stud James accosts young, natural-bodied vixens Carmen Caliente, Carmen Callaway, Dani Daniels, Delilah Davis, Janice Griffith, Sadie Santana, Vyxen Steel, Jessica Ryan and Trinity St. Clair. The sluts watch and aggressively compete to be dragged by the hair for rough, manhandling sex. Scene One: Dani Daniels, Carmen Caliente, Carmen Callaway, Delilah Davis, Janice Griffith, Sadie Santana, Vyxen Steel, Jessica Ryan, Trinity St. Clair, and James Deen were shown together sexually after he beat the snot out of Danny Wylde. Granted, the “blood” all over Danny looked more like the liquid portion of a can of baked beans but given the heat of the moment, it was a satisfying start all the same. James then took off his minimalist clothing to join the naked women, all nine of them at his beck and call though the music was the dominant aural aspect of the flick at the beginning, moans, groans, and slapping noises as he roughed them up included as well. They slobbed his knob and tossed his salad collectively, presenting themselves as he tore into their pussies and mouths (perhaps even asses, the low level spot lighting was not conducive to seeing everything). He slapped and spanked them, the ladies not showing a great deal of enjoyment most of the time nor did they jump in to gobble gash as they passively waited for him to take them as he desired. In the end, they all grouped together and he stood before them to drain his dragon, milking his nuts of semen and sperm as the ladies in the front row took their reward.

Summary: James Deen’s 7 Sins: Wrath by director James Deen for Evil Angel lacked chemistry, enthusiasm, and chemistry and yet it had some weird vibe going for it to earn a rating of Rent It on a slow day. The ladies looked lean and fit but they were shown so far away by the camera that even on my big screen television they came across as much smaller than usual for a porno, the relative lack of close up shots hampering my personal enjoyment. In short, James Deen’s 7 Sins: Wrath fit better as part of the entire series than as a standalone fuck flick, the ladies fucked and discarded as he cycled through them one at a time. Give it a look and those who want to project something deeper onto the dynamics of the show are free to do so, just know that it had very little replay value for this reviewer.
