Ladies, we all know The Scene; that favorite porn sequence that makes our boyfriends and male buddies all frothy-mouthed, glossy-eyed, and left roughly resembling a mummified guppy.

For some men, it's the trapeze scene in "Behind the Green Door;" for others, it's any scene starring Jenna, Briana, or whomever his particular favorite may be.

Which brings me to the primary point of this review (and yes, I do have one); with "Evan Essence," Inpulse Pictures has given women their "scene."

It's the film's culminating sequence; one in which star Evan Stone dances sexily for and makes artistically beautiful love with a female co-star. Then his glorious naked body is covered with body paint, and he turns to grace the camera with a heartstopping smile.

Ladies, if you can make it through this scene without short-circuiting your remote control (and, in all likelihood, the favorite toy you keep on hand for just such a cinematic occasion) with excessive drool, then you're a stronger woman than Goldenmuse. It marks a true milestone in the genre of femme porn.

The rest of "Evan Essence" sets the stage for this culminating sequence, but does not always reach its level of excitement and intensity.

For while "Evan Essence" is intended as a showcase for the wonderful Evan Stone, only one additional scene features Evan; a lovely film noir sequence in which he cuts a striking figure as a '20s-era gentleman who seduces a beautiful woman -- they both look like they stepped straight out of a vintage picture show.

Of the three remaining sequences, the strongest involves two male-female couples that feature strikingly handsome young men (Sergio and Kris Slater, I believe). Another offers Jack Lawrence as a '40s era writer who demonstrates complex sensual techniques on a most impressed female.

These sequences are well done but a little long, especially considering that there's no dialogue in the film. And of course, I do appreciate the fact that the camera focuses equally on the male and female bodies involved.

CONCLUDING WORDS: Overall, I would have preferred to see a little more Evan in "Evan's Essence." Even so, it's a solid entry in the femme porn genre; and yes, Ladies, we finally got our 'scene.' Score!
