Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. Most of the scenes looked decent but some grain and video noise were present as well as motion artifacts. The fleshtones were not always accurate and most of the trouble seemed to be with the lighting and DVD transfer. The audio was distorted in several scenes and the vocals appeared to be adjusted to compensate for a flawed recording. I noticed my DVD Player indicated the audio track was in PCM rather than Dolby as well.

Body of Review: Having just watched my first movie from a small company known as Outback, Envy, I was not looking forward to seeing more from them. Sure, the cast was attractive and there was some chemistry but the technical aspects of the movie were pretty lame and that usually kills the heat for me. Biting the bullet, I took a look at Double Booked, a movie about a young woman (Venus) who wants to break into the music video business at any cost. Her producer screws her over and books a porno at the same time on a small set and leaves her hanging. Will she be able to work out a deal with someone she finds repulsive and lame (Steve Hatcher) to use the set or will her career be over before it has begun? The plot was minimal if you are concerned about it and the sex was not bad but fairly limited-some of the scenes were very short on sex. The technical issues did pop up again and that gave me pause for concern since I again state that I think they are on the right track but the technical matters, picture and sound, are what drives the DVD market. When your movies look and sound bad, people aren't going to buy them (or rent them) since there are far too many better choices on the market. That said, here's a look at the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Venus, a cute brunette with a lean body but good curves, and Kyle, had a scene in a living room with a great view of a waterfall. She did a bit of a striptease dance for him and then they gave each other oral pleasure. The scene ended with some straight sex and a facial. I think her over-the-top vocals detracted from the heat but the soundtrack distortion hurt it worse.

Scene Two: Cynara, a gal that always seems to have an attitude, and well-known porn lesbian Felecia, had a scene in a dark room. I saw more chemistry in this scene than in the last scene and the use of a strap-on dildo was hot.

Scene Three: Nikita, a legend in porn for her sexual antics on screen as much as off screen, took on the massive Lee on the bed of a porn shoot. My biggest complaint about this scene, noting that I like both of the performers, was that the scene was very short in length (it had only oral and straight sex for those who care). The two worked well together but even their chemistry can only do so much.

Scene Four: Cynara, still in her fetish garb from a non-sex scene, played with herself for a few minutes. I think Felicia should've been called in for round two to make the scene better.

Scene Five: Gen and Felix, both attractive gals that I haven't seen much of in porn, had a lesbian scene on a couch. After seeing them together, I wanted to see more and that says something coming from a jaded old porn hound like myself. They used toys and did lots of oral for those who care with little that was out of the ordinary but each seemed to be having a great time.

Scene Six: Venus, still looking hot, and Steve, finally got it on together. It was oral and straight only with her giving him a hand-assisted blowjob to finish but not bad. I'd be lying if I said it was anything close to hot but it would've felt right at home in any number of Adam & Eve movies.

Summary: The company displays potential but most of it is under-utilized. The picture suffered from problems I haven't seen in years and the sound was just bad. The sexual energy was noted in more than one scene but not allowed to blossom fully and even the editing worked against the feature. I'll try reviewing one more release from the company, One True Chance (which may be the LAST chance I give them), but the rating for this release is going to remain as Skip It due to the limitations listed above.
