Extras: My favorite extra by far was the 17.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. It gave some extra nudity, tease, and little nods to various fetishes (like feet, smoking, flashing, etc.) as well as some sex from the show though I enjoyed Tory's striptease dance the most. There was even a bit with Nicole Sheridan in it, teasing the heck out of one of the crew in between taking pictures. I also liked the short individual interviews of the ladies, each getting a limited amount of time to discuss whatever struck their fancy. The rest of the extras were pretty standard with some trailers, a cumshot recap, a photogallery, some spam, and a true double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Cum Drinkers was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Barrett Blade for release by Mayhem. I was surprised that he didn't participate in the scenes but given some of the shaky camera work and weak editing, I guess he had his hands full already. In a few of the scenes, you could even hear him bumping into the camera with some of the compositional errors definitely not flattering to the gals. Otherwise, the lighting was decent almost all the time, limiting the grain, video noise, and shadows of the scenes so while Barrett has a long way to go in directing hardcore porn, at least he can say the lighting was good. The audio was presented in a basic stereo 2.0 Dolby Digital but the vocals were too low much of the time, the music generic and intrusive, and the little bumps you'll hear in the background evidence that unless it's a rock & roll related audio matter, he needs to work on it.

Body of Review: Barrett Blade has long been one of my favorite actors in porn as well as musically gifted performers. In recent months, he's been trying to make the break into the directing side of porn, albeit with limited success. I know he's creative, I know he's skilled with the ladies, and I know he'll get to where he wants to go but he's still climbing up that hill so give him time. His latest title for the Sin City hardcore line is Cum Drinkers, a series of unrelated vignettes where the gals all have hardcore sex and then swallow semen down. It's a weak premise to base a movie on but with a talented cast like this, Barrett almost has to try to screw it up if he wants a low score. Sadly, some of the scenes look like that was his intent, although the movie as a whole was okay. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Jamie Elle, a very cute brunette with a very lean and all natural body, was up first as she stripped off her little plaid schoolgirl outfit in front of the couch. This led to her teasing and masturbating as she claimed to want two cocks. While she didn't get two full cocks, she did get the next best thing in the movie; Kris Knight and Joe Friday, giving each some head as she'd jerk off the other. The oral was mechanical and far from her best work, but she's an expert in the field so even her worst would be pretty good. The sucky editing had the scene go straight from the oral to her with two dicks DP'ing her, barely allowing her to move at all, never mind enjoy the ride she was getting. She did better when taking them on one at a time (regardless of which hole) though her ride was definitely hit or miss depending on the particular position. It ended when she sucked down both of their loads, in a fairly average scene.

Scene Two: Naomi, the bubble butted gal on the front DVD cover, was up next in purple lingerie and some great fishnets that enhanced her already hot ass as she teased the camera. Her scene partner was Jenner and while he might not be top flight talent, it was clear how much he wanted to rip into her holes and get off. He went down on her first, getting her ready to accept his fleshy, frog belly white body as her partner. This led to her giving him some fairly enthusiastic head, with lots of POV camera work to help the audience forget what he looks like, before the anal started up. I liked how vocal she was but she let him do all the work in the anal and there was no vaginal action for her to fall back upon. The facial was modest at best and this was probably Naomi's weakest scene to date (I like her best when she's given a chance to enjoy the action rather than simply put up with it).

Scene Three: Tory Lane, a curvy hotty with a nice face and sultry manner, was up next on the couch as she teased the camera in her garish outfit, pulling up her undies to diddle herself in them. Her partner for the scene was Nick Manning, a guy who aggressively took her on as she continued to masturbate and pinch her own nipples. He ate her out as though he was into the action for more than simply a performance and she returned the oral in a heated manner. He started in with his usual dirty talk but she was at least as much in charge of the action as she worked over his meat pipe hardily. She was an active ride vaginally, pumping herself up and down on his cock as though she were trying to get off herself first and him second. They moved onto an equally heated anal routine where she was still riding him hard, eventually receiving his huge wad into her mouth for swallowing. They were a good pair together and the chemistry between them showed.

Scene Four: Cindy Sterling, a girl next door type with an all natural, youthful body, was up next as she talked dirty during her masturbation sequence. She had some blemishes and her messed up teeth could use some work but she struck me as a cutie with potential (and her eyes were really appealing) and with scene partner James Deen (who tasted better than her boyfriend according to her in the BTS feature), I figured she'd be giving a solid performance all around. The scene progressed as expected with the two rubbing each other, going down fairly well, and then screwing. They didn't seem to have a whole lot of chemistry (she liked him but he seemed kind of cold towards her) and the vaginal ride was short but she seemed more appreciative of the anal. The bouncing motion of her body on his rod in the anal (especially with her dirty talk) was better than expected, but his role diminished the fun for me. It ended when he came in her mouth for her to swallow.

Scene Five: Trina Michaels, a busty blonde with a black lingerie outfit and matching fishnets, was up last as she teased the camera fairly well. She had the skill of a stripper in terms of the tease and her face was very alluring as she masturbated on the couch. Her partner for the scene was Chris Cannon, who spent a lot of time on her chest as she rubbed his crotch to prepare it for some solid head. The titty fuck was great but the head was lacking this time, a condition that carried on throughout the rest of the scene as well. Essentially, she let him do all the work and seemed to lay back for the ride, weakening the vaginal and anal both. The pop shot to the face was okay and she did swallow but it was too little, too late for the scene.

Summary: Cum Drinkers was a Rent It for me since even the award winning cast wasn't in top form most of the time and the technical values weren't the best I've seen from the Mayhem line of Sin City. The extras were pretty good and there was some fuck for the buck present but not enough to overcome the weaker acts of the show. I look forward to seeing what Barrett will come up with next time as this might have been just a bad day for him but with so much potential, I was surprised to see just how limited the action was in most cases.
