Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, the industry standard at this time. There was a lot of grain and too many incidents of lens flare as well as soft focus for my liking. Further, the special effects like slow motion got old really quickly as I watched the movie. This was a far cry from Kovi's work for Private. The audio was in stereo English and sounded fairly clear on the narration but the music was set so high in the mix that during the scenes you could barely hear the vocals (even if they were only moans and groans, I prefer to hear them over cheap porn music).

Body of Review: Over the years I've watched a whole lot of porn from a variety of director's and companies. While each company tends to chase a certain market niche, some of the directors are very versatile in the kinds of scenes they show. One such director, Kovi, is known for making a host of kinky sex scenes for Private Pictures where all kinds of kinky outfits and fetishes are explored by the famed director. Until this week, I was under the impression that Kovi only made movies for Private until I ran across a little vignette based release called Garden Of Seduction.

The movie is a series of loosely based scenes that are supposed to be designed as fantasies for couples that are looking to explore their own sexuality. Digital Sin didn't see fit to label the cast (and I only knew about half of them by sight) so I'm not going to break down the scenes by cast but unless you're familiar with them, names aren't going to describe what took place anyway. The sex was mostly oral and straight (vaginal) sex but there were a few times when anal and even a DP took place.

I wish I could state that the sex was full of heated performances and loads of chemistry but the problem was that this was not the case. The sex was almost always mechanical and impersonal, much like you'd find on some of the weaker releases by Private. The vocals being over ridden by the music track and the special camera effects weakening the clarity of the picture were other factors that lowered the heat of the show.

On the other hand, the cast was generally very attractive, even if their makeup appeared to be applied in mass quantities by paint rollers. I thought Michelle looked good here even though her scene was far weaker than I'd expect of it for such a star. To sum it all up, Kovi, already an acquired taste, seemed to dilute his usual style to the point where this DVD became rather generic in scope. Such porn doesn't inspire me and I suppose I'm disappointed that the famed director didn't let loose a bit and provide something new and unusual.

Summary: Without any scenes that really stood out as warm or better, and the cast looking weaker here than in their other work, I really have to suggest this one as a Skip It since not even the extras were decent enough to make me happy. In short, I was under whelmed by almost every aspect of this release and hope that the company does better in the future if they're going to scoop up directors known for high quality kink.
