The latest from avant garde smut director Jack The Zipper plays off of the whole Craigslist sex services thing that's been in the news lately, though the name has been changed to avoid any legal hassles. Craig'slist Compulsions features five scenes that are shot and set up to play along with that whole theme, wherein strangers meet up for sex with little regard to consequence or any sort of relationship aside from the encounter.

It's an interesting idea and Zipper's decision to shoot it in such a way to make it look like a cross between someone's hidden camera footage and a Robert Rodriguez movie gives it an interesting visual flair. That said, those same qualities will likely annoy some as there are plenty of moments here where the sacred penetration shot is shrouded in shadow. It fits within the context of the movie, but those who absolutely have to see everything at all times will walk away dismayed. That said, Zipper's film is an interesting one. It's plenty sexy and well cast, and hey it even features music from Jason Stewart, Joe Buck and the Dirty Ol' One Man Band himself, Scott H. Biram. What more could you want?

Some shots are a little bit dark but these are few and far between thankfully. There's also been some color tweaking throughout so expect an artsier look to much of the hardcore action. Skin tones look good and there aren't any problems with edge enhancement. Some shimmering shows up as do some minor mpeg compression artifacts but overall this is a perfectly acceptable as long as you keep the color tinting and artistic intent in mind while watching it. This was shot to look like it was captured incognito, so to speak, so it has a sort of 'hidden camera' feel to it.

Sound:

The English language Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track is pretty standard. There aren't any issues with hiss or distortion and the levels are all fine. The music sounds good and you can hear all the dialogue and moaning and groaning well enough.

Extras:

First up, as far as the supplements are concerned, is the Go Go Girls feature which allows you to check out the girls stripping and fucking to a few musical numbers. Craig'slist Compulsions is another interesting effort from Jack The Zipper and company. It's sexy, artsy and original and its well cast and well scored. The darkness that coats much of the action will annoy those who want a traditional gonzo fuck fest but appeal to those who appreciate artsy alt-porn. Recommended.
