Extras: The best extra was the 15:00 minute long Strip Tease feature that is sometimes missing from titles by the company. Audio/Video Quality: Bum Rushed was presented in a visually appealing anamorphic widescreen color using an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Mike Quasar for Third Degree Films using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases (using 480p resolution). The lighting was solid here, showing a lot of care and as solid as Mike's best works of late, with enough variation to add some texture to a few of the five scenes. The grain was minimal as was the video noise and I got the impression that Mike was very cognizant of what was going on, balancing the technical values with what the cast was doing. It was not perfect but this did enhance the replay value for me as it showed more care than usual. The video bitrate tended to hover around the 5.6 Mbps area most of the time I paid any attention to it. The composition of the scenes enhanced the look of the ladies, the tease sessions showing softer lighting (filtered by curtains or tweaked before the shoots) but the actual scenes better/stronger lit. The sole audio track was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, the aural experience fairly limited due to the nature of the gonzo shoot. There was no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was as truncated as ever, standard gonzo audio being okay for most consumers.

Body of Review: Mike Quasar has been receiving some serious accolades of late for his bigger projects (credited to him or not, such as the newly released Guide To Making Fuck) but he has always been the kind of director that managed to inject better technical values along with enhancing the casts thrust upon him, his diplomatic skills typically helping sooth the nerves of flaky porn performers and wayward suitcase pimps alike. His latest title making it to me was Bum Rushed, an all anal extravaganza starring ladies like Jenny Hendrix, Chayse Evans, and Andi Anderson (among others) that included some sensual tease before the ladies started ramming objects up their backsides. The company described it like this on their website: "Giant cocks up these dirty wenches tiny little butts. That's some serious backdoor lovin'. When you feel like a little something different go for some rectal rammin' action. An all-anal extravaganza is what you get when you've been Bum Rushed." Going into the movie, I was looking to see that each gal did the advertised anal, did enough of it to "count", and did it as though she really liked getting boned in the ass. Summary: Bum Rushed by director Mike Quasar for Third Degree Films was a straightforward anal gonzo movie where each of the ladies did anal and did it with sufficient prowess that there was no way they were newcomers to the act. The technical values were solid and the casting showed some care, the group of ladies providing different dynamics in how they approached their roles but always focused on the outcome. Not everyone of them shared a lot of personal chemistry with the men they were paired with but I never got the sense they disliked them or were putting up with the sexual activities until cashing their respective checks so I rated the show as Recommended. In short, Bum Rushed was a heated display of five ladies engaging in anal action with some of the better meat puppets in porn, sharing the wealth across the scenes instead of one guy ending up with all the ladies (which usually results in weaker performances when they are drained so often). The extras added some value too and if you are a fan of the cast, this is one worth checking into for your collection.
