Extras: The best extra was a short 5:01 minute long infomercial about how to use The Cone (the sex toy hawked by the movie). Using clips from the movie and a bit of assistance from Tera Wray, it was as good as any of the scenes as far as I was concerned (at least any five minutes from a scene). There was nearly a dozen trailers, a photogallery, a pop shot compilation from the movie, and some spam; with the DVD case covered by a slipcover.

Audio/Video Quality: Cone Alone was presented in a non anamorphic letterboxed widescreen color with an approximate aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Michael Franco for Toy Time Studios/Pleasure Productions. The loosely tied together vignettes of the movie (all four of them) served mostly as an infomercial to promote the Cone sex toy on the front cover of the DVD case. The lighting and camera angles were basic with little grain but little detail to speak of either. The editing was standard and the generic sets reminded me that there is a lot of porn currently being made that is reminiscent of the loops from decades ago. The bitrate was typically in the lower to mid 5 Mbps range and I saw few compression artifacts but this was a run of the mill production visually. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English with the standard 192 Kbps bitrate. The vocals were hollow, apparently dubbed over in some cases, with a light strain of generic jazz music continually playing in the background. There was no separation that I could hear and the dynamic range was about what I remember AM radio as sounding like.

Body of Review: Michael Franco is a director that I recall handling a few titles for Nikki Benz a few years back, not getting much exposure and falling off the proverbial map if I recall correctly. His latest title is for Toy Time Studios/Pleasure Productions in the form of a veritable infomercial called Cone Alone. I got to play with one of these devices at the 2007 AEE Show and it seemed like an unusual vibrator to say the least; producing strong vibrations in the pink cone shaped device that was one of the rare such toys not made for penetration. IIRC, they were too expensive for me to get one to review (this DVD gives a $5 rebate coupon in the box) but I wouldn't expect a whole movie to be dedicated to the toy (like the Sybian's have had for years now) unless it was in the package with it. Contract hotty Tera Wray was the lead gal in the movie but there wasn't much here to really like as it was very generic in nature. If you're still interested, here is a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Vanessa Videl, a woman old enough to qualify for MILF status (for years even), was up first as she engaged in sex with another aging performer, Guy DiSilva, after Tera fell asleep on the couch. Vanessa has kept fit over the years and proved to be an okay performer, the use of the Cone toy prominent throughout the scene as she slobbed Guy's knob until he reciprocated briefly. The vaginal screwing was passive on her part so her cries of pleasure rang false but most importantly; the Cone was in most of the shots. In Vanessa's favor was the fact that she did pump herself on his rod when she was on top but the lame music and the otherwise unimpressive action left me hanging sexually. He spanked her a bit and gave her a modest facial of population pudding to enjoy before it was over; the bed serving as the location for the sex.

Scene Two: Tera Wray, the lovely brunette contract gal for Pleasure Productions seen on the front cover, was up next as she masturbated with the pink sex toy promoted so heavily in the movie on the red couch. She has an appealing body so seeing her gyrate and wiggle on the vibrating toy was pretty warm for me, at least until she was joined by killjoy Kurt Lockwood. I wondered when he'd be getting in on the action given his propensity for objects in his ass so when he immediately asked if he could use it, I wasn't surprised. Thankfully, all he did was use it on her as she moistened up to the vibrations. He ate her out a little and she blew his semi erect penis, leading to the couple screwing vaginally. She was generally passive in her riding but the worst thing about the camera angle was how it emphasized her implant scars so handily (the under the breast type) and all the PTM in the world wasn't going to make me forget about it. After a few more positions, he rubbed out a load to her face and the scene faded away.

Scene Three: Veronique Vega, a sexy babe in lingerie on the bed, was up next with scantily clad Tera Wray in a lesbian scene. Tera's striped top and tight white shorts looked good on her but even better on the floor as the ladies massaged each other with a modicum of enthusiasm. With some licking and pawing, the Cone came into play and it looked especially cumbersome to deploy this time (it's not a small device). They moved about a bit and used the Cone for the rest of the scene, finishing up on a downbeat as Veronique left with the toy in her handbag.

Scene Four: Nadi Phuket, Savannah Stern, and Veronique Vega were then up last as the gals studied for finals on the even smaller bed in the loudly decorated room posing as anything other than a porn set. Veronique pulled out the toy to please Nadi while Savannah felt her (Nadi) up; the alien looking device evincing squeals of pleasure as the clothing slowly came off. If was another lesbian scene and the action was similar to the previous one; albeit with more chemistry between the trio. It ended too soon and the licking, rubbing, and pawing was routine.

Summary: Cone Alone by director Michael Franco for Toy Time Studios/Pleasure Productions was worth a rating of Rent It on a slow day in the middle of the week. While The Cone appears to be a very fun toy, my limited exposure to it was not sexual in nature during the 2007 AEE Show so unless one comes in for testing, I can only say that it looked interesting and had some good, though not particularly adjustable, vibrations. The sex of the movie was centered around the toy in almost all cases and the generic nature of the production combined with the tame sex scenes described above made Cone Alone a DVD to pick up in the bargain bin or as part of a package deal with an actual Cone.
