The Movie:

Betty (played by Angel) and Kathy (the legendary Ginger Lynn) are two girls enrolled in an all girl's boarding school run by strict Catholic nuns. Video:

The movie was shot on film so it looks quite detailed and natural. Image quality is good but not perfect as there is some mild print damage and edge enhancement scattered throughout the transfer. Luckily none of it is too severe and the movie is perfectly watchable. This transfer is on par with, if not slightly better, than most XXX films I've seen on DVD from this era.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital Mono English language soundtrack is a little bit hissy but otherwise quite sufficient. Levels are well balanced and dialogue is clean and clear (except for one or two scenes that are just slightly muffled, but this only lasts a second or two when it does occur).

Extras:

Extras include a still gallery of roughly thirty images from the film, a website link, a video with director Suze Randall who discusses the controversy surrounding the religious aspects of the film and the FBI sweeps that occurred around the time this film was made and the ensuring Meese Commission Report. This segment runs just over two minutes and it's interesting to hear Randall discuss making porn under conditions that made it technically illegal and the taboos that she was trying to break when she made it. Finally, there are trailers included for Addicted To Sex and Dark Side, both quality productions also directed by Suze Randall.

Final Thoughts:

Suze Randall's Too Naughty To Say No is a funny and reasonably daring adult film that provides some steamy sex scenes while breaking some rules about what kind of content should or should not be in a conventional adult film. Pure Play's DVD is a pretty decent production and this film is definitely recommended. Great cast, great sex scenes, all nicely photographed.
